"So, you're telling me that, Red Riot AND Dynamight are your soulmates, that you've known about for the past eleven years! And not only do they hate Tenshi because you told them that you-. He-. Tenshi killed you-. Izuku. But they have quite literally thought you've been dead for the past eleven years!" Hawks shouted, trying to wrap his head around the situation as he paced back and forth in Izuku's living room while the greenette was curled up on the couch in an oversized Pro Hero Hawks hoodie, hugging his knees to his chest as Hatsume leaned against his legs and watched the Pro nonchalantly.
"Don't forget that they technically don't know that Izuku is their soulmate or that he was Tenshi!" Hatsume added while Izuku whined and kicked her in the back, though Hawks only sighed and leaned against the bookshelf against the wall.
"Izuku, by the gods, you know I love you. But what the ever-loving fuck?!" Hawks shouted while Izuku groaned and buried his face in his knees.
"I never thought I'd have to see them again! I thought that the most I would ever see of them would be when I would happen to run into them on patrol!" Izuku defended himself while Hawks exhaled heavily as he crouched on the ground, letting his wings spread out to keep himself balanced as he pinched the bridge of his nose.
"Okay, I get that. But why on earth didn't you tell me?! I could've put you somewhere incredibly far away from them!" Hawks stated while Izuku mumbled something into his knees, pulling up the hood on the hoodie while Hatsume looked over her shoulder at the man.
"I never wanted to bring up the subject because I never thought it'd be relevant again," Izuku stated reluctantly, only to hiss when he got a flick to the forehead.
"Did you think you wouldn't ever cross paths with your soulmates again? Come on Izuku you're smarter than that!" Hatsume stated while Izuku rubbed his forehead as he pouted.
"I knew I'd run into them, as Hikari! Not as Izuku! Because for all they used to know, Izuku was dead!" Izuku protested while Hatsume rolled her eyes at her friend.
"Okay, okay. But what we do have to worry about now is that they do know. So, how do you want this to play out?" Hawks questioned as he stood up and walked over to the couch, sitting on the spine of it as he looked down at Izuku.
"Honestly, I was hoping I could never talk to them again and hide here until they forget about it," Izuku mumbled while Hatsume flicked him on the head again as Hawks laughed.
"Oh, Izuku. You know how stubborn those bastards are, you grew up with them. And you think they're just going to let it go? You know they're still hunting after Tenshi right?" Hawks shook his head while Izuku groaned.
"Of course, I know! They're the only two Pro Heroes who try to catch my ass when I'm helping them!" Izuku grumbled aggravatedly as he rubbed his forehead once again.
"So, what do you actually want to do?" Hawks asked as he gently ruffed the man's hair from over the top of his hood, though Izuku only sighed heavily, leaning back into the affection while he nudged Hatsume's back with his foot.
"I'll handle it, though I should do it alone, if I can end this discretely and gently then that'll be the best for everyone," Izuku answered while Hawks turned himself around and draped himself over the back of the couch so he could look at Izuku's face.
"But do you want to end things like that? You haven't given them much chance you know." Hawks stated while Hatsume hummed in agreement, though Izuku only looked between them confusedly.
"What is that supposed to mean?" Izuku questioned while Hatsume turned around and rested her head on Izuku's knees.
"Izuku, you haven't had a full conversation with them as Izuku, since you guys were fifteen. It's been eleven years! Things have changed, don't you want to at least want to try and stay friends?" Hatsume asked while Izuku pursed his lips and looked down at his lap.
