Hisashi groaned as he stepped into his house, his joints aching from the long day at the hospital. Lately, more and more people had been coming in due to random attacks, and it was becoming worrying. Especially with how close a couple of the attacks were to his home.
Though what had his mind reeling throughout his shift was the fact that Izuku hadn't answered a few of his texts. Of course, the man wasn't one to jump the gun and freak out, he figured Izuku was either engrossed in his reading, his hero notebook, or he fell asleep. But regardless, he couldn't shake the gut-wrenching feeling that something wasn't right.
"Hey, I'm home!" Hisashi called, hoping that Izuku would come out of his room to greet him. He knew his wife was either dead to the world in her room or out somewhere.
Hisashi raised an eyebrow in question as he put his things down and hung up his coat, Izuku having not come to greet him as normal.
"Button flower? You fall asleep?" Hisashi questioned as he went to Izuku's door, placing his ear against the door to see if he could hear anything, only to furrow his eyebrows in confusion when he didn't hear anything.
"Izuku? Hun, can I come in?" Hisashi questioned as he knocked on the door. Only to be met with no response.
"Izuku, I'm coming in." Hisashi declared as he opened the door, only to find Izuku's room empty, but his bathroom light was on, the door barely open, allowing the small sliver of light to leak into the otherwise pitch-black room.
"Izuku? Button flower is everything okay?" Hisashi questioned as he stepped to Izuku's bathroom, only to be met with no response yet again.
Hisashi's stomach sank slightly, so he didn't bother asking to enter. The man opened the door to the bathroom slowly, only to shout in horror at the sight before him.
Izuku sat against the wall, seemingly unconscious. His knuckles and hands were bloody and mangled, small glass shards stuck out from his mangled hands and in parts of his arms. His mirror was in complete shambles, glass shards covered the sink and the floor, along with the horrible sight of the dried crimson blood.
Hisashi immediately jumped into action and grabbed Izuku, the boy not even reacting as his father manhandled him and placed him in the living room while Hisashi ran to his room and grabbed the first aid kit he kept.
"Izuku! Come on button flower, please answer me. Come on baby it's okay, answer me." Hisashi begged as he kneeled in front of Izuku, desperately rummaging through his first aid bag to grab what he needed, his heart ran faster than he ever felt before, and he was horrified when he finally caught a glimpse of his son's eyes.
His pupils were so dilated that Hisashi was sure that if he wasn't fully aware of the grey that surrounded the black pupils in thin strips, he would've thought his son's eyes went completely black.
Grey.
Izuku's eyes shouldn't be grey.
Hisashi paused, only for a moment as he stared in horror at the sight of his son's eyes, the once emerald green that matched his own was gone. Replaced by a lifeless grey. Hisashi knew what that entailed.
It was a drop.
Hisashi moved even faster to wrap up his son's hands and arms, he knew that it would only last him so long, but he knew that he needed to wake up the boy first.
"Izuku! Come on hun, please! Respond to me, come on button flower it's okay, I'm here... please..." Hisashi begged as he cupped Izuku's face, tears burning at his eyes while Izuku's grey and nearly lifeless eyes stared back at him, glazed over.
"Izuku... come on sweetheart... please... answer me, please Izuku." Hisashi cried as he pulled Izuku into his chest, uncaring of the way Izuku's bloodied arms and hands ruined his shirt. Hisashi tucked Izuku's head under his chin, pressing Izuku's body as close as he could to his own.
