Chapter XVIII

2 minutes earlier

"My head," Iida grunted, his knees on the ground as he used one hand to rub his temples.

"Are you all right, Shinsou?" Todoroki asked, his wig falling off.

"Yeah. I'm fine." Shinsou groaned as he set himself back onto the ground. His capture weapon fell back onto his shoulders.

When Mount Lady had destroyed the building to make a forced entry, the four had been caught in the damage. They all fell from their high points or upright position in that narrow alley. That being said, Iida had yanked Shinsou down to a safer level, hiding Yoayorozu under his arm in the process. Todoroki had shielded himself.

"Did the building come down?" Yoayorozu coughed, sitting up and shifting Iida's arm.

"Let's check," Todoroki replied, while Shinsou once again peered over the undamaged alley wall.

"Gang Orca and Mount Lady?'" Shinsou gasped, seeing the scene.

"Even Best Jeanist is here!"

"And Tiger, too!" Todoroki called over the sounds of police sirens.

"Ugh, these green guys are so gross," Mt. Lady stuck out her tongue, holding some Nomu in her hands.

"You said there would be press here, Jeanist!"

"I did. You pressing all of my buttons!" Jeanist responded irritably.

"Just take pride in knowing that the work you're doing now is honorable, and I can't believe that I had to be the one to drag your 50-ft ass down from your high horse for the first time in your life! Show some decorum, rookie!" The older Alphan Pro Hero scolded the younger.

"I should've gone with All Might and Kamui," The female Alpha whined.

"Riot Squad." Jeanist turned to a group of heavily-armed police behind him.

"Get the transports ready. There could be more of them. Be on your guard!"

"Yes sir!" The policemen replied, heading off immediately.

"Come on, Ragdoll," Tiger urged the teammate in his arms.

"Wake up for me!"

"Is that the missing partner of your group?" Gang Orca asked, jogging up.

"She's breathing. That's good "

"Look at her!" Tiger protested.

"What did they do to her?!"

Ragdoll looked up at them with half-lidded eyes, her lips parted. Her hero suit was gone, replaced with a simple white cloth dress if you could call it that. Her skin was damp, and nothing seemed right with her.

"Everything's fine, see?" Iida told the others, but none of them saw what was going on now after being lowered from the wall.

"The heroes had it all under control. Now, let's head back," Iida sighed.

"At least we won't have to explain ourselves."

"It sounded like All Might was somewhere else," Shinsou said, looking at the top of the wall.

"Does that mean they already have Kirishima and Bakugou?"

"If All Might's on the scene, there's no doubt about it!" Yoayorozu assured him, while Shinsou only grumbled quietly. Not fully trusting the statement. Though regardless he hopped off the wall and followed the rest of the group. However, Shinsou stopped. Todoroki noticed this and looked back at the Alpha, seeing the boy look up to the top of the wall again.
