Stepping through the portal, Marco ignored his friend's concerned cries.

"You know we were banished from Mewnie! We're not meant to be here." Moc glared at Marco as he rolled his eyes.

"Relax, guys, I've got this. Star's my friend, and she needs to know if she's causing the calamity."

Sighing, they knew it was a lost cause. "Fine. But if I end up in a dungeon, I'll-" Solar paused, his eyes flickering as he tried to think of an actual threat- "not share my cooking with you."

Marco covered his mouth, snickering. "Sure you won't. Don't worry. I won't let them take you anywhere." Marco smirked before turning to Star, shaking her shoulder. "Star. Wake up."

Star blinked awake, glancing at the blurry image of Marco above her. "Marco?" Snapping awake, Star jumped back, letting out a scream. "Marco! What are you doing here?!"

Before Marco could defend himself, the door was flung open. "Princess! We heard you scream!" Guards stormed into the room, spotting the intruders. "Get away from her, you monsters!"

"Great," Solar grumbled as he ducked out of the way of the guard. "I swear, Marco if I end up in a cell, I will not be happy!" Swinging out the small device, Solar released his compact staff, hitting the first guard to the side.

Moc growled, their fingernails growing into large claws as they jumped up, scratching at the guard and ducking, moving around like a black belt.

"Star," Marco ignored the loud crash that interrupted his speaking- "we need-" bang- "to talk-" crack. Marco sighed deeply, forcing a sweet smile onto his face. "One moment, please." He spun around, reaching into his pocket and pulling out the butterfly knives, swinging them open and charging. He dodged around the guards, hitting them back before he flipped to the centre of the room, slicing through the fabric of the dimension to create a large portal. Landing behind it, he whistled.

In a second, a green mass reached through the portal, wrapping around the guards and lifting them up.

Marco dusted himself off, returning to Star's side. "As I was saying-" he couldn't finish when Star interrupted him.

"Marco! I don't know what's going on but let the guards go now!" Star glared at Marco as he tried to speak. "Now Marco."

Sighing, Marco crossed his arms. "Fine. Let them go, Bob."

The plant thing slowly released the guards, retreating back into the portal. It let out soft garbling noises as Marco chuckled.

"Yes, yes. I'll visit you later. Thank you for all your help. Okay, love you too." Marco petted the plant's side as it entirely retreated before Marco zipped the portal close with his knife.

Star took a deep breath as she approached Marco. "Two things. Firstly, what the heck Marco? Secondly, what the heck Marco?!"

"Told you it was a bad plan to come here." Moc crossed their arms angrily, their tail flicking behind them. The guard stepped closer, trying to grab them as they pointed their claws at her. "Want to try that again, buddy?"

The guard rapidly shook her head, rushing away.

"What are you doing here? Who are they? What are those knives, and why are you in my bedroom?!" Star began pacing her room.

"In order, we are here to address the issue of the portal calamity. These are my closest friends, Moc and Solar. These are my weapons of choice made from a half-half dimensional metal, meaning one side acts like a normal blade and one side can open portals. Lastly, we're in your bedroom because we were trying to avoid the guards, and I thought that would be easier without using the front door. I was wrong." Marco crossed his arms, glaring at the guards.
