Part 33~The Fight

Glossaryck ran down the stairs, stopping at the portrait where Eclipsa's shackles hung without her.

"Oh, great! Eclipsa got out!" Star picked up the shackles. "That's awesome. Another thing I gotta deal with."

Tom screamed as Star spun, pushing through the people. She jolted as Tom crashed into the wall, collapsing to the floor.

"Tom!"

"That was so much easier than sucking all those souls. Just one punch. Bam! This one, on the other hand." Meteora laughed as she stopped glowing, holding Janna in between her fingers.

Star gasped. "Janna!"

Meteora laughed, standing up. "Don't tell me you've forgotten all about your other friend." Meteora held up Marco, sitting on a chair.

"Marco!"

"Isn't it ironic?" Meteora looked down at Marco, sighing. "All that time I was chasing after Princess Turdina, I barely even noticed you." Marco floated up as Meteora crushed the chair, dropping the splinters to the ground. "As it turns out, I was chasing after the wrong princess!" Meteora blasted at Star, the attack only leaving her intact eye.

Star spun out of the way, raising her hands. "Mega Narwhal Blast-" Star screamed as she was pushed back, crashing into the wall. "Oh, man, this form really packs a punch."

Meteora screamed; her blast followed Star as she dodged.

"Winter storm Hypeblow!" The ice-covered Meteora's arm. "Cupcake Blast!" Star hit Meteora's arm, still dodging the blasts. Meteora roared, punching the ground as Star spun away. "Strawberry Annihilation!" The blast hit Meteora as she punched the wall. "Supersonic Leech Bomb!"

Star spun around Meteora's back, leaving the beeping bugs on her body. Meteora screamed as they exploded, knocking her to the ground. She snarled, blasting at Star as Star blasted back.

The hearts met the green of Meteora, pushing Star back. She broke the spell, spinning down and flying close to the ground. Meteora spun, slamming her tail. Star barely avoided as Meteora stomped her foot down.

Star spun around Meteora, flying higher as she flipped over. "Raspberry Ribbon Lasso!" The ribbons wrapped around Meteora's arms as she laughed, slamming her arms down and pulling Star closer.

She threw Star into the floor, slamming her down again and again.

Star struggled as she hit into the wall, pulling at her hands. The ribbons snapped as Star blasted Meteora's back. Star stopped in front of Meteora's face, holding up her hands. "Jellybean Hallucination Mist!"

Meteora paused for a second before she screamed, blasting through the spell and blowing up the tower. The people floated up, leaving the tower as Meteora continued to pursue Star.

"Thermonuclear Butterfly Bla-" Star couldn't finish when Meteora hit her, sending her crashing to the ground. Star couldn't recover as Meteora pinned her to a wall. Star pushed against Meteora's hands, unable to free herself in time.

Meteora began her spell as Star created a forcefield.

"End of the line, Butterfly."

"Okay, I get it. You're angry. If I were in your shoes, I'd be angry, too. But you don't have to do this. We can fix everything."

"You can't fix what your family's done!" Meteora's blast grew more powerful as Star's forcefield began to buckle.

"You're right! I can't! You want my power? Take it!" Star strained, summoning all her magic into a golden ball. The ball expanded, covering the room in bright light.
