Solar groaned as he woke up. His head pounded, thumping against his skull. "Wha... What happened?" Rolling over, Solar smiled as he spotted Marco. The boy had fallen aside, his head resting against the bed and his arm tied to his chest in a cast. "Marco?"

Marco grumbled, forcing his eyes open. "Solar? Solar! You're awake!" Marco shot up as Solar winced, rubbing his forehead. "Oh, sorry." Marco lowered his voice as he grabbed a glass from the side, holding it up for Solar.

Solar grinned, leaning into Marco's side.

"Are you okay?" Marco ran his free hand through Solar's hair as he relaxed. Solar frowned, his eyes drifting over Marco's broken arm.

"What happened?"

"You don't remember? Anything?"

"I... I remember something about a doughnut, and the EAC was there and... Meteora! What happened?!"

"It's okay; take a breath." Marco placed a hand on Solar's shoulder, pushing him back. "We defeated Meteora. She's a baby, but she's not a threat."

"What?"

Marco chuckled. "Yeah, that's gonna take some getting used to. Do... Do you remember anything else?"

Solar frowned, rubbing his forehead. "I mean, I remember calling you princess and queen if that's what you're talking about."

Marco blushed as he coughed. "Not really, but don't worry about it. I'll tell you when you're up and moving again."

"Says the one with a broken arm." Solar smiled as Marco rolled his eyes fondly.

"And for the record, I prefer princess over queen." Marco jumped on Solar's bed, leaning into Solar's side.

~~~
Marco sighed as he watched Solar process the information. "I know it's a lot, and we haven't reified it yet, but... I thought you would want to know."
Solar blinked, rubbing his eyes. "I don't understand. If Meteora was my mum, who was my dad? Why did they give me up? Why didn't the High Commission tell me?"
"I don't know. I asked Hekapoo about it, and she seemed just as shocked as the rest of us. Omnitraxus too. I didn't bother asking Rhom-Rhom about it because, let's face it, it's him." Marco frowned, taking a breath. "I've been thinking; I know your orphanage doesn't have any records of before you arrived, but there might be somewhere else we can go if you want to look for answers. I can't guarantee anything, but when you're ready, I'll take you, and I'll make sure we come back with answers."
Solar smiled, leaning into Marco's hand as he cupped Solar's cheek. "Thank you, my knight."
Marco chuckled, leaning in and stealing a kiss.
Solar leaned back, smiling as he took a breath. "Let's go find my answers."
~~~

Stepping through the portal, Solar tilted his head. "I don't get it. Where are we?"

Marco chuckled, wrapping his good arm around Solar. "Welcome to St Olga's School of Wayward Princesses. A long time ago, Ponyhead was sent here, and when Star and I came to rescue her, I started a revolution. Now the place is an entire party house. I still come by ever so often. It's pretty fun."

Solar blinked, frowning in confusion. "I don't get it. How is that going to get me my answers?"

"Because, for the last three hundred-ish years, this is where Meteora has lived. If anywhere is going to have records on you, it's here."

Solar gulped, looking over the castle. "Isn't this a princess school? Are they even gonna let us in?"

"You kidding? I'm Princess Marco Turdina; they'll let me in." Marco paused, tutting. "I should have brought my dress. Really given you the full Princess Marco Turdina experience." Marco paused, seeing the excited look Solar was giving him. "What?"
