As the Imperial Civil war began, Vietnamese T-62s and T-64s alongside U.S. M60s rolled out to begin a new defensive initiative alongside small squads of American, Rhodesian, Vietnamese, Indian, Australian and New Zealander Aerial Cavalry to build outposts across the frontier and within strategic positions. Specialist MACNW teams would also travel across the territories under the Italica government as Pina's government was known and train up Militias and other irregular forces in WW2 style equipment similar to the New Imperial Army while the U.S. 55th Infantry division, nicknamed "the Pentagon Division" due to their symbol and ties to the Pentagon, went out and Trained and advised the Imperial Soldiers on the new equipment coming for the New Imperial army. They had learned from Vietnam and the Malayan emergency what worked and what didn't.

The plan was to establish a secure home front with popular support and a frontier that can cause more trouble for the enemy than the Italica government and their allies but the British also knew of this strategy so they acted accordingly. They would plant spies among the locals and would regularly raid Villages and other Military outposts, seize Caches and destroy strategic points like Airfields, Radar Stations and Fire Bases. Both were working to undermine the other but neither side could gain anything. The Vietnamese and Rhodesia Expanded the Empire's roadways across all towns in the territory under U.S. Control, then the Chinese and Syrians would Destroy the roads to spread chaos, the NWF would rebuild them and the Saderan alliance would destroy them again in an endless cycle of Violence. The NWF builds and cooperates, the Treaty of Sadera Destroys and spread Dissent. This is the new way of warfare for the powers involved. The Frontline became a stalemate as Both sides had Similar Vehicles with the NWF having a slight advantage with the T-62 and T-64. The Air was dominated by U.S. and Vietnamese aircraft with the best aircraft of the time, including, MiG-23s, F-111 Aardvarks, MiG-21s and F-4 Phantoms while the British took control of the seas due to a lack of U.S. and Vietnamese presence there.
During this conflict, Bases and outposts established during the war with the united empire became the new frontier as the Saderan loyalists hid in the east and began raiding the nearby Villages and set up their territory with new defensive and better equipped outposts being built for the purpose of defending the major cities and villages under U.S. control. However, the British's subversive campaign also allowed offensive on U.S. Frontier outposts, pushing the frontier back and the New World Front's counter attacks would push it forth with no one able to gain ground against each other.
While tanks and plane battled in the new world, the U.N. began condemning the U.S. France, China and U.K. for their actions while praising Sweden, Vietnam and Rhodesia who became a member in 1969 thanks to the U.S. and U.S.S.R. passing the vote for them to enter. But the U.N. simply couldn't agree on who to condemn more. But they did agree on the expansion of U.N. Peacekeeping units and the expansion of the UNONW to villages on both sides of the conflict. However, the U.S. and U.K. ignored this and attack U.N. safe areas, although the British did it more often due to their Saderan Loyalist Government.
