Kilgore POV

I heard what happened at Hamilton Gate and Damn, it was a mess. Americans were now infighting over the war despite us winning the battles. And just to make things worse, Armed Hippies who aren't afraid to shoot had started causing even more chaos back home. If there's one thing I hate more than Pussies and Hippies, it's Pussies and Hippies carrying guns.

Out here in Italica, things aren't any better. The Civil war carries on, I am set to be Married with the new Empress once we win but victory seems further and further as Politics, U.N. Busybodies and even more anti war bullshit spreads across the front. My whole Battalion is growing more frustrated with the rest of the 1st Cav. Division as all Air Mobility operations have begun to cease. The higher-ups decided to limit our aerial support due to the growing political pressure back home, leaving us grounded and vulnerable. Every day feels like we're inching closer to hell and all because some damned brats from a fancy college decided to play guardian angel to "Innocent people hurt by American Imperialism". Those guys can suck my Fucking Balls! They don't know why we fight, hell, they don't even know who they are protesting for. If they met who they "Saved", the people they rescued would massacre them and hang them on crosses.

But so far, things are quiet, no signs of enemy artillery, airstrikes or even a massed charge of Infantry and monsters, It's been that way for the past 5 months, But as it turned out, things were gonna go to hell.

3rd Person POV

June 5th, 1971, Fort Alnus, West Wall, under occupation of the 2nd Cavalry Division's 4th Battalion, the "wild riders".

Colonel Shaun Kengun, Kilgore closest friend and commander of the 4th Battalion noticed Vietnamese troops, their allies running towards them and shouting in Vietnamese, "Các đồng chí!!!!! Các đồng chí!!!!!" Kengun, having Served in the Vietnam War understood the word as "Comrades! Comrades!" They were trying to warn them about something. The soldiers on the wall immediately sprang into action, alerting their comrades and preparing their defenses. Colonel Kengun quickly grabbed a radio and barked orders to his men, instructing them to fortify their positions and get ready for a possible onslaught. The Vietnamese soldiers soon ran in Kengun asked in Vietnamese, "Chuyện gì đang xảy ra vậy?! Tại sao bạn chạy?! (What's going on?! Why are you running?!)"

One of the Vietnamese soldiers, breathless and wide-eyed, managed to respond, "Họ đang đến! Đế quốc đang đến! Chúng tôi đã trinh sát và tìm thấy một đội quân khổng lồ!! 50.000 người! (They're coming! The Empire is coming! We scouted and found a massive army!! 50,000 men!)"

Colonel Kengun, keeping his cool then asked, "Ở đâu? (Where?)" The soldier then said, "Ở đó! (There)" pointing to the nearby mountains.

Soon, Artillery began falling on the Positions and Kengun yells, "TAKE COVER!!!!!!" The ground shook as explosions erupted around them, sending dirt and debris flying through the air. The soldiers scrambled for cover, some diving into trenches, others ducking behind sandbags and makeshift barricades. Some men are blown to bits, other are blown sky high and others keep their heads down. Men shout, "Get down! Incoming!" "Get into your foxholes! Look out!" "Get down, boys!"
