Part 7, Rifles, Rhodesians, and Remarks

Colonel Williams POV (July 2nd, 1968)

I had just recovered from the injuries incurred from last time and I was to show the girls our equipment, much to my dismay. But then men I never seen before with equipment from another nation arrived. "Who are you guys? I haven't seen you round here before" The man responded in a British like accent, "We're Rhodesian Soldiers, Mate! We came to help ya!" I was confused, "Why are you guys here? Shouldn't you be fighting that bush war of yours against that Mugabe fellow?" The man responded, "We came here for American Help since Our Prime Minister, Ian Smith negotiated with your President. In exchanger for ending White rule and sending 20,000 volunteers from our regulars and the RLI to help in your war, we get aid and air support against the floppies and Investment for the successful growth of Democracy!" I nodded. "Sounds good! I'll see you Rhodies on the field!" We waved each other goodbye as I went to the training field with the girls and the Rhodies went to the field to kill Imps for us.

 Rhodesia entered the war on the side of the Americans on July of 1968 with a deal between Ian Smith and Lyndon B. Johnson. Rhodesia Agreed to implement civil rights and call for Black majority rule in 1970 and also to send 20,000 men for their contribution against the empire, which resulted in a gate being opened in Salisbury and an army being sent through as retaliation by the empire, Ironically Making things easier for the Rhodesians since they don't have to leave home to enter the new world. In exchange, America provided air support and aid against ZAPU and ZANU alongside investment into Rhodesia to develop the land into a modern African nation. The Rhodesian Expeditionary Force (REF) was led by General Keith Robert Coster and was sent through the Salisbury gate which led to the American Base at Fort Alnus.

The RLI and the other Troopies of the REF successfully helped the allies throughout the entire war against the empire despite their small number compared with the over 1.5 million Americans. 50,000 Australians, 40,000 New Zealanders and 500,000 Khmer and Lao Soldiers but these men are very experienced at fighting irregular warfare so they were ready for any ambushes compared to the other nations.

Colonel Williams POV

After leaving away from the Rhodies, I went to show the girls the M16 and AK-47s so I called in a Mutt to pick us up. We got in and passed by the Vietnamese 3rd Armored AKA the "Tây Sơn" Division and their new T-64 Tanks alongside the arrival of our own AH-1 Cobra Gunships to help our forces, the Aussies, the Koreans, the Kiwis and the Rhodies. That mage girl has taken to following me after the 1st Cav took her to translate since she learned about us and our languages to speak with us and better understand us while also trying to see our way of life.
