Jeongguk typed away on his laptop with his eyes set on the door. It wasn't 10 yet, however, he was betting with himself if Taehyung would show up today or call in sick on his second day. Too his surprise, the door opened with Taehyung stepping in. There wasn't a single sign of being hungover on his face and he was actually very put together.

I'm gonna kill myself. Taehyung's face contorted in pain, he rolled his arm which was still aching ever since he fell down from that fence.

"Mr. Kim," Jeongguk's voice snapped him out of his little trip down memory lane and stopped him  for sitting down. Taehyung slowly turned around and hummed, "Have you done any more work?"

"Like what? It's out of work hours, why would I need to do more work?" Taehyung placed his backpack down on the desk and began to take out a notebook and pen. He stopped when he could hear Jeongguk stand up, and the familiar sigh he had heard many times indicated he was going to get a lecture.

"Because you're working as a secretary, you have to do work outside. If you only want to do work during working hours then go to McDonald's," Jeongguk crossed his arms, "Teachers spend hours after school doing things related to their jobs, just like you should be doing as a secretary."

"Alr-"

"This was written in the job description. I know you joined on a short notice, but I emailed you it the day you applied," Jeongguk could already tell that the boy hadn't read it due to the tensing of his shoulders, "You should also put your phone on airplane mode, you're always on it during work,"

"Is that on the policy too?" Taehyung turned around with an annoyed expression and phone in his hand, "Did you read the email I sent you this morning?" He slipped it onto his pocket and smirked when Jeongguk's confidence began to slowly fall.

"What em—"

"At six am, before you left for work. I said we're visiting the venue today to make sure it looks okay and to practice what the event will be like," Taehyung tried his best not to teasingly laugh at how surprised Jeongguk looked and covered it up with a poker face, "So, are you ready to go?"

"Did you call the driver?" Jeongguk didn't like how Taehyung was acting as if he was doing better than him, and it only grew more when the boy just nodded. When did he even find out who the driver was?

"I asked Hoseok," Taehyung could almost hear the question due to how confused Jeongguk looked, "Who is also coming with us, for some reason," Taehyung double checked he had everything whilst Jeongguk registered what the boy was saying.

"Alright, let's go," Jeongguk decided not to further challenge or doubt the boy, the younger was full of surprises — and Jeongguk hated surprises. So, it was best to just not focus on the doubts he had.

"I also received an email from a this man named Michael? He said he'd like to meet with you tomorrow regarding a building you're planning to construct soon," Taehyung sounded as if he was asking a question, he wasn't familiar with any of the company plans yet.

"What? We're not constructing anything soon?" Jeongguk raised an eyebrow and leaned closer to Taehyung who pulled out his phone and showed the email, "It's probably a protestor, a lot of people are against their buildings being replaced so they try to meet me and change my mind,"

"Oh," Taehyung put his phone away and stepped into the elevator with Jeongguk, "Why do you replace their buildings?"

"Well, it's not really up to us, we're usually asked by other companies or councils to build, architects also reach out to us about the designs and we have meeting with the council to discuss if we can build it," Jeongguk explained whilst staring straight ahead, "People are against that because it's bad for the environment and also destroys their villages,"
