Taehyung scrambled to get onto his feet, yanking his sleeve down and stumbling back a little as Jeongguk got closer. He wiped his face and sniffled, wide eyes staring at Jeongguk who also had tears brimming in his own.

Jeongguk didn't know what to say, his hands were stuck in the air to reach Taehyung but he was too scared to touch the boy. Taehyung just looked so scared and vulnerable that he didn't know what move to make.

What have I dragged him into? Taehyung stepped back whenever Jeongguk stepped forward. He didn't know why he was moving away when he desperately needed something to comfort him.

"Taehyung," Jeongguk sadly called out for the boy who hiccuped and avoided his eyes, "Angel, come here," he softly asked.

"I-I wanna go home," Taehyung weakly breathed out, tears pouring out again.

"I'll take you home, just come here first," Jeongguk opened his arms out for the boy who shook his head and harshly wiped his face.

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry for making you see that- I lost control I didn't want to-" Taehyung breathed heavily and nervously looked around the room, "I'm so sorry, I didn't want you to I didn't want this, this wasn't very funny of me,"

"Stop apologising, just come here and let me help you," Jeongguk didn't move any closer to Taehyung since he could that the boy didn't want anyone close to him.

Taehyung just shook his head, "You can't just offer to help me after you said all that." He spoke in disbelief.

"Taehyung, listen to me," Jeongguk desperately asked the boy and blinked back tears, "Those were my words. They were from when you first joined and when I was a complete fucking idiot. I promise Tae, God I promise you that I don't think like that anymore."

Taehyung didn't believe him, and it was evident on his face, "Ever since I joined your stupid company all I've been met by is misery."

"Tae-"

"Every month here has been hell, just when I start liking you and trusting you- you ruin it," Taehyung sobbed, "Why do you keep doing this to me? Aren't you bored yet?" He asked with a slight whimper at the end.

"Taehyung, I'm begging you please just believe me. I don't mean those things at all, I know I shouldn't have said those things back then and I seriously do wish I could turn back time," Jeongguk pleaded the boy who just hiccuped and cried harder.

"I wanna break up."

Jeongguk felt everything crash. "Tae, come here and let's calm down first, yeah? We can talk about this when you're bett-"

"No, no I don't want to do anything. I'm sick and tired of trying again and again, nothing ever works out for me," Taehyung frantically shook his head and began walking towards the door with staggered steps, "I'm going home."

"Tae," Jeongguk gingerly stopped him by his hand and pulled him forcefully into his embrace, "Please, please don't go," he cried quietly, gripping onto Taehyung tightly. The cries got louder when he felt how thin and shaken up Taehyung was in his arms, "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry,"

"Get off of me," Taehyung's voice cracked against Jeongguk's shoulder and his small fists punched his chest roughly, "Let go of me, leave me alone,"

Jeongguk silently caressed the boys back and ran his fingers through his knotted hair, he absorbed every single sob emitted from the younger and closed his eyes tightly to feel the pain. His knees felt weak, but he wanted to be strong to support Taehyung.

After twenty minutes of whispering soft comforting phrases and letting Taehyung punch his torso, he could feel the boy grow weaker and eventually stop. The latter slowly wrapped his arms around Jeongguk too and whimpered.
