Taehyung sat in front of his desk, hands dropped by his sides and a flat expression on. His eyes were void and stared outside of his window, focusing on absolutely nothing. He had been like this for the past three hours; silent and frozen.

It felt as his brain was shut off, a thought would try to form but none made sense or could process. Anytime his phone rang or something passed outside, it wouldn't make sense to him. Not a single thing was being processed and a thought wasn't present.

He only slowly came out of it when his phone lit up his dark room. The process was terrifying — it always had been — noting ever made sense even afterwards and he was left feeling confused and dazed. A wave of fear would hit him and he felt as if he lost control of his body.

It was also a state he had never told anyone about since he was always so scared to speak about it and find it may be something horrible. So, he kept his mouth shut and pretended as if he never was stuck for hours.

Taehyung felt as if his movements were still slow as he picked up the phone without reading the caller ID, "Hello?" He spoke in a distant voice. His reality did not feel real and he began to wonder if he was stuck in a dream.

"Are you home? I'm outside."

Taehyung carefully stood up, grabbing onto walls as he dragged his feet. He believed he let out a hum and ended the call.  It was a tedious walk down the stairs but he managed and made his way over to the door.

A wave of refreshing cold air hit him when he pulled it open which eased his disorientation slightly. In front of him stood Jeongguk dressed in his suit like always and holding a bag of food.

Jeongguk noticed how Taehyung didn't greet him by flirting or hugging him, instead the boy gave a weak smile and stepped aside so that he could come in.

"Are you okay? Did you get some sleep?" Jeongguk asked the boy worriedly, usually sharp eyes growing soft whilst watching the boy struggle to walk straight.

"A little," Taehyung sat down on his couch and patted the space next to him. Jeongguk sat next to him and made it obvious he was not convinced.

"Did something happen? You've been out of it today even before the client," Jeongguk's voice was warm, Taehyung wasn't used to hearing people talk to him that way.

It made his chest sting a little and even grow a little upset. He preferred it when he was seen as a person without any personal issues; Jeongguk had seen one of his biggest.

"Yeah, I was honestly really tired so I was really bothered in the morning," Taehyung replied and attempted to try put on his usual mischievous personality, but he couldn't.

Jeongguk was horrible at apologies and comforting people through words, but he wanted to try for Taehyung, "I bought you something to eat,"

"Thank you," Taehyung shuffled closer to him, wrapping his arms around his boss's neck and snuggling his face into his neck. Jeongguk smelt nice, like some expensive Arabian Oud. It was fading so it wasn't harsh, it was enough to leave a statement.

Jeongguk was completely frozen as he was still not used to Taehyung's random hug attacks. He couldn't complain though, he enjoyed more than he should. His eyes fluttered shut and he inhaled Taehyung's summery scent, he wrapped his strong arms around the youngers slim waist and pulled him tighter.

Taehyung could feel his heart pounding painfully loud and he began to fear that the man would he able to hear it.

Jeongguk was too focused on apologising to notice and thought carefully on what he was going to say.

"I'm sorry for my emotional outburst today, I just got really frustrated and angry that after everything I'm still seen as useless," Taehyung surprisingly spoke first, "I know that bus-"

"No, no I'm sorry for not standing up for you. I don't agree with what he said at all and you're right that I should care more about my employees. After all, you are the backbone of this company and have done so much to make sure everything runs smoothly," Jeongguk subconsciously caressed Taehyung's hair, "You're a great secretary,"

"A secretary?" Taehyung mumbled, a mischievous smirk forming on his face, "Are you meant to have a secretary in your arms like this? And act this way?" He teased, pulling his head back slightly to look into Jeongguk's eyes.

They were extremely close, Jeongguk could feel Taehyung's breath against his nose and his eyes were set on the boys lips that were curved up.

"No, you're not meant to," Jeongguk managed to choke out, "But I'll let it slide as long as it's you who's the secretary."

Taehyung's eyes widened and he removed himself from Jeongguk's arms. His ears began to burn red, the crimson spreading across his puffy face, "Woah, I'm the one who flirts,"

"I was flirting," Jeongguk playfully rolled his eyes, "I'm being serious. I'd never do this with anyone else,"

Taehyung smirked, "Oh really? Then why with just me?"

Jeongguk gulped, "J-just because, we're friends so it's nothing serious,"

"Oh really?" Taehyung crawled towards him, a cheeky glint in his eyes was on display. He reminded Jeongguk of a cat from the way he moved.

"Yes."

"Are you sure it's not because my flirting makes your cold little CEO heart flutter?" Taehyung placed a dainty hand against Jeongguk's pecs and shamelessly felt them. He could feel how the man's heart was beating hard.

Jeongguk gebtly took it and removed it, "How do you have the energy flirt when you're tired?"

"Because you're my energy," Taehyung winked, laughing when Jeongguk huffed and shook his head.

"Eat up and go to bed, you don't need to come into work this week. I want you to rest-"

"What? No! I'm gonna be fine when I wake up," Taehyung gasped and yelled at the latter who was sincere.

"You've worked hard, there isn't much work. Don't forget I have over a hundred employees, the company is not just solely your responsibility," Jeongguk sternly spoke, "You're not starting until next week. I'm going to send out an order that you won't be allowed into the building if you do try to show up,"

Taehyung let out a loud whine and thrashed around like a child, "But how am I gonna see you?! I can't live without you for a day!"

Jeongguk chuckled, "You'll be fine, you have my number."

"So you're saying I can text you?" Taehyung's eyes lit up, "Can you stay overnight again? Please? Please?"

"I'm sorry, I can't," Jeongguk felt bad the second he saw the disappointment on Taehyung's face, "I have a meeting someone,"

"Fine," Taehyung sulked and turned to the food Jeongguk had got to him.

"We can have a sleepover whenever you want next time."

Not him making it obvious he's in love 😆😆
