Jeongguk couldn't keep his eyes on his food when there was a meal sitting in front of him. His pretty boy sat ahead wearing a light white silk top which the younger had deemed suitable enough for the warm weather. But, it wasn't the top that made Taehyung stand out.
Jeongguk couldn't tell exactly what it was, perhaps it was how the warm atmospheric lights of the restaurant that rested against the boys tan made him so beautiful. Or maybe the look of concentration on his features that were reflecting the dim light of his phone screen.
Then, the look that always made his heart ache. Taehyung's eyes that twinkled as they moved up to Jeongguk's face, wide and innocent but slowly turning mischievous and childish when he caught Jeongguk staring at him.
And then God, the smile on Taehyung's lips that Jeongguk would never be able to describe. It made him feel sick, the feelings it caused in his stomach made him want to throw up because he couldn't handle it.
Taehyung had such an effect on him, and it was a curse that he'd never be able to fully see it.
"Are you going to blink?" Taehyung spoke up and placed his phone down, laughing lightly when Jeongguk began to rapidly blink, "What were you thinking about? You were gone for a while then,"
"I was just staring at you, you look really pretty," Jeongguk admitted and picked up his fork to eat, missing out the blush that briefly appeared on Taehyung's face.
"Thank you," Taehyung shyly replied, "Are we going back to the hotel after this?"
"Is there anywhere you want to go?" Jeongguk asked the boy who shook his head in response, "I thought you mentioned earlier that you wanted to walk by the fountains again?"
"I know, but I'm tired," Taehyung replied and took a bite out of his food. Jeongguk nodded in response and the two ate silently, not talking about much since they had already said everything.
However, Taehyung couldn't stop thinking about one thing. Their future together. He wondered what it would be like, if they'd be together forever and what type of relationship they'd have together. He hoped it was forever, he didn't care if it meant Jeongguk would be the only person he'd ever date.
Taehyung already felt a pain in his chest at the idea of their future not being together. So he shoved the thought down and focused on something else, such as how beautiful Jeongguk looked wearing a white shirt.
I hope he stays in with me, even if things get really bad for me. Taehyung swallowed down a lump in his throat, he forced his eyes to look around to stop the tears from forming and he pretended to rub his eyes to wipe them.
Jeongguk noticed that Taehyung had just been holding his fork the entire time, so he looked up with a confused face.
He didn't fail to notice the way Taehyung's eyes were glistening a little too much and how his nose had turned a little pink.
"Are you okay?" Jeongguk asked the boy who sweetly hummed.
"I'm just really tired," Taehyung gave a simple reply.
"You should eat faster then," Jeongguk suggested, "I told you we should've brought the car, now you're going to have to walk whilst being tired,"
"I know but I like walking with you because you hold my hand,"
"I can hold your hand in a car."
"Well how are you gonna drive then?"
"With my other one?"
"Okay but what if you need the other one," Taehyung raised his eyebrow.
"Too bad," Jeongguk shrugged and continued to eat whilst Taehyung seemed defeated.
