America's POV

I sighed as I crawled into my parents' house from the January cold. I was staying with them over Christmas and new year's and today was my last day before I went home. "AMERICA!" I was tackled to the ground by the twins, New Zealand and Australia then the rest of my family came and squeezed the life out of me.

"Nice to meet you guys too. Uh, where's Canada?" They all shrugged agreeing he's probably just doing whatever Canada does. My mother looked at me with mischief in her eyes, fear washed over me like a tsunami. "Mon chéri, come help me in the kitchen I'm making sweet bread." My mood was instantly lifted, and any predetermined doom vanished from my mind. Big mistake. As I walked into the kitchen before the sweet smells of bread hit my nose I was hit by flower. My mother and father were rolling as I was brutally attacked by my brother Canada. While everyone was laughing their arses off, I just stood there like a deer in headlights. Snapping back into reality I slowly turned around. "Anyone want a hug?" They all ran screaming.

Russia's POV

I sighed as I shut off my laptop and started to pack away all the built-up paperwork. "RUSSIA!" My little sister Ukraine burst into the room, panting. "I GOT ON THE LIST!!" She started jumping around the room in excitement she was basically doing backflips. My sister Ukraine was an incredibly devout ice hockey player so getting on the list as a main player was very important to her. I clapped and congratulated her by giving her a big hug, unfortunately, she was too big for me to swing her around like I used to.

"Aww come on Russia why do you never smile? For my wholeeeee life I've never even seen you do it once." She mimicked my face rather poorly. "See? That's what you look like EVERY DAY! Your eyes are pretty much closed." I looked away, then back at her. The light mood was quickly fading, I needed to say something. Fast. "You want pierogi for dinner?" She looked at me with suspicion but before she could say anything I budged past her and started making stuff to eat. I love Ukraine but, there are just some things she needs to understand that I can't do.

No one's POV

It's been a week and USA and Russia have finally been forced to work together on the summer festival. The clock in the office ticked agonisingly slow. "Sooooo...how 'bout we do the summer thing in my country?" Russia shrugged. "Ok so I'll take that as a yes. Got any ideas as to what we should do?" America asked. "How about I kill you and then we won't have to do this stupid competition da?" America laughed sarcastically. "Very funny Russia but you know this wasn't my decision. Now get your head out yer ass and work." Russia raised an eyebrow and mockingly put his hand to his ear. "Is that an... accent I hear?"

America covered his mouth quickly and looked away in embarrassment, Russia's chuckles making his face redder than it needed to be. Truth be told, America and Russia used to have a symbiotic relationship (as they would like to call it) in High school, unsurprisingly, they had a lot of common enemies, meaning they hung around each other a lot and Russia made fun of America whenever his accent slipped out. After calming down America whipped round and scowled at Russia. "Fine. You don't want to work; we don't have to work. We'll just sit in silence." Russia put up his hands in a surrendering motion.

"Ok fine I'll work with you. But on one condition." America raised his brow. Pleased that he was listening, Russia continued. "I think that a certain someone hasn't been treating us with respect. So, in return we show them some disrespect." America, now fully invested questioned him. "What exactly do you have in mind?" America said coyly. "I think Germany needs to have a refreshing drink. Especially after all the hard work he's been doing." A sick grin slowly appeared on America's face. "It's a deal." And with that they got planning.
