Since Loak had been grounded from flying for a month, me, Spider, Kiri, Tuk and him went out exploring the forest for a day. 

We were all whooping while jumping over vines and other roots of trees. Tuk kept shouting at us to wait up since she was slower than the rest of us. I slowed down and offered Tuk my hand, indicating that we could run together. She gladly took it.

Little did we know, was that Quaritch was landing his ship at the old battlefield with his troops, and that was exactly were we had planned on heading. 

"Tuk keep up!" Loak yelled as Tuk started to get distracted by a plant.

"Okay, okay"

We began to stop running.

"Bro why did you bring her anyway?" Spider questioned.

"Seriously?" I whispered into his ear as he shrugged me off.

"She's such a crybaby" he continued

At this point I just elbowed him in the ribs making him lunge over in pain.

"I'm telling. You're not supposed to go to the battlefield. I'll tell mom if you don't let me come" Loak said,  mimicking Tuk.

Tuk then stuck her tongue out at Loak teasingly while Kiri told him to stop picking on her.

Eventually we came across a fallen helicopter in a mass of vines. Spider and Loak climbed up to it while I stayed on the ground with Tuk while Kiri wandered away to explore.

"Are there any dead bodies up there?" Tuk asked and I chuckled at how funny the question sounded with Tuk's cute voice.

We were there for about 10 minutes until Tuk realised we had to be home before eclipse. The boys got down from the aircraft and Spider ran to find Kiri. 

Since Spider and Kiri were taking so long, we decided to go and find them ourselves. 

"Kiri! Kiri!" we all yelled as we found her on the floor with Spider looking worriedly at her, I didn't think much of it. 

"We have got to get back" Tuk said as Kiri got off the ground.

We all started to head back to fortress in the mountains when Loak jumped off of the tree branch we were walking along and crouched down to study something in the mud.

The rest of us crowded around him to see what had caught his attention while Tuk mentioned again that we had to be home before eclipse.

It was a shoe print.

"That's way to big for a human" Loak stated

"Avatars?" Spider then questioned

"Maybe"

Spider and Loak then got off the ground and began to follow the tracks. I grabbed Spiders arm to try stop him and tell him that it was a dangerous idea, but he just shrugged me off and continued to follow Loak. I sighed and grabbed Tuk's hand.

"What are you doing?" Kiri asked Loak annoyingly

"Shhh, tracking"

We followed the tracks all the way to a place I had only seen in my nightmares. The place I had heard Norm talk about. The one place Jake told us never to go.

My breath hitched and I quickly covered my mouth in spite that the avatar who we were looking at were not friendly.

"We are never supposed to come here" Kiri whispered worridley. "Dad is going to ground you, for life" she stated

"shhh can you stop" Loak responded irritated.

Loak and Spider continued on while I hesitated with Tuk and Kiri. I silently followed them, just to catch the beginning of a sentence Spider said.

"Bro. That's were your dad and my dad...fought" he uttered out in amazement.

I silently gasped, but didn't cover it up enough because as soon as I did Spider whipped his head around to look at me. He looked slightly worried.

Loak then said something that would make you kill this kid when you got back home.

"I have to call this in" he whispered hurriedly.

"No bro we're gonna get in trouble!" Spider quickly replied as Loak got up and walked even closer.

I trotted back to Kiri and Tuk and told them both to stay were they were...they didn't listen. They ended up coming with me to see Loak call his father in.

"Devil dog, devil dog this is eagle eye, over."

"Eagle eye, send your traffic" Jake's voice rang over the intercom. They would be in so much trouble for this.

"I got eyes on some guys, they look like avatars, but they are wearing camouflage and carrying assault rifles. There's...six of them, over"

"What's you position?" Jake's voice starting to sound worried

We all closed our eyes and hoped that they weren't going to get their throats cut for coming here.

"Umm" Loak hesitated before continuing, "we're at the old shack." 

"Who's we?" Jake sounded mad

"Me, Spider, y/n, Kiri...and Tuk" he sighed

"Son you listen to me very carefully, pull back right now and do not make a sound," Loak nodded even though Jake couldn't see it, "move, copy?"

"Yes sir, moving out" he ended while we all got up and began running back home. 

The panic in my chest began to rise but I kept pushing it back down. 

"It's almost eclipse c'mon!" Tuk yelled, urgency in her voice.

Suddenly, an avatar came out behind a branch and grabbed Tuk as she screamed.

I froze in my spot. 

We had been caught.
