I sat back responding to emails a nurse came in
"hi"she said all excited and shit i love this hospital they treating my baby so good
"so a little birdie told me you love apple juice well i took it upon myself"she said showing her a bottle of apple juice
"juice yay"she said she looked at me for confirmation and i nodded she gave her the juice
"so they have the medicine but no kids likes to swallow big pills so we're working on finding liquid medicine"she said i nodded opening the juice for her when she walked out kazimir walked in with our food
"daddy"she said sitting up
"wassup mama"he said giving me the bag
"i got you muffins"he said handing her a muffin

"they got her medicine yet"he said
"no and yea they got the pills but they're too big for her so theyre looking for liquid"i said he nodded sitting down we watched tv in silence

"did you ever find a wedding dress you liked"he said a small smile crept up on my face he avoided all eye contact
"no i stopped looking after that argument we had"i said he looked at the tv
