"Dan! Where's all the coffee gone!" I shout across the apartement. There is a moment of silence as Dan walks into the kitchen, not trying to hide the fact he just woke up.

"Isn't there any left?" He asks in a drowsy, half asleep maner. I shake my head.

"Then there is more coffee at the shop." I groan. "You're coming with me to get some Howell. Unless you don't want one made for you when we get back." Dan exits the room and goes to get changed.

I go to my room and stick on a Fall Out Boy tour T-Shirt, some black leggings and then attempt to tame my red curls.

Dan stand by the door, as per usual only wearing black and to be honest, so am I. "Ready?" I ask and he puts his lhone away and open the door. "Yup."

~

"For god sake where is all the decent stuff?" I search the rows of coffee to look for a decent brand.

"Most of the coffee here is shit. But they do have some nice cakes." I shake my head.

"Why on earth would you bring me to a shop that has crappy coffee choic- oh. Screw you Dan. We aren't here for cake." He pouts and makes his way to the baked isle.

"Dan. Are you even listening? We are not getting cake. Just. No." Dan smirks and looks at the variety of baked goods. I sogh and walk closer to him to see where he had stopped.

"Chocolate cake? Howell we can make that ourselves at home." Dan looks at me confused. Oh yea. I hadn't told him.

"I was once working at a bakery. We could make one in about ten minutes. Well. The mixture at least." Dan's face lights up.

"Can we get the ingredients?" He jumps slightly like an overexcited school kid. I nod and we are off to the isle where you find the eggs.

Dan goes to grab some eggs but I try to get his arm to stop him but end up holding his hand. He looks at me, a sparkle in his eyes and I let go awkwardly.

"Th-they weren't free range. Do you wanna support people who keep the chickens crammed together?" Dan cocks his head to the side and smikes at me.

I look away and grab the eggs I used to always get when I worked in the bakery.

We grab the rest of the ingredients and head back home.

"So how long exactly will it take you to get the mixture sorted?" Dan asks as we walk home with the shopping.

"Ten minutes if you distract me. If not it should only take about five." Dan looks impressed. I smile to myself as me get in the lift to go to the apartement.

~

"Could you pass me the bigger cake tin Dan?" I ask and hold my hand behind my back awaiting the tin to be placed in it.

When it does come in contact with my palm, I grasp it and bring it to my front.

I generously pour good amount of the brown mixture into the tin and place it to the side. "Smaller?" Dan passes me the other tin and I put the rest of the cake mix in it.

We put the cakes in the oven and I grab a bowl to start on the buttercream. I look over to Dan and smile. "Wanna help?" His face lights up once more and he bounces over to me.

"Can you put in the butter that I sorted out earlier? Oh and then the sugar." Dan looks around and then spots the small bowl containing butter and then the one with sugar.

"Great. Thanks." I turn on the mixer and watch the ingredients merge together.

"I must say. This is rather impressive Amy. Even fir someone who did this as a job." I smile, not looking away from the bowl.

I add the coco powder and watch the buttercream become a satisfactory deep brown, kind of like Dan's eyes.

~

"Amy!" I hear Dan shout from the kitchen. I sigh and close my laptop before going into the kitchen where Dan is looking at the cake. "It's cooled. Can we decorate it now?" I laugh slightly.

"Sure Dan. It looks about done." I grab the buttercream from the fridge and a piping bag. I spoon the icing into a corner of the bag and snip the tip.

I then swirl the cream onto every part of the cake before getting a kife and running it around each side to flatten it all out.

"Wanna add the stars?" I ask and get the white chocolate stars out of the shopping bag and hand them to an eager Howell.

"Make sure you spread them out on the whole cake." I point to an area he missed and he shakes some stars there.

I clasp my hands together. "Done." Me and Dan stand and admire out work. A two layered completely chocolate cake, a ten inch sponge with a six inch on top.

"Now what?" Dan asks and looks at me, licking his lips. I shake my head and smile evily. "Now, we put it in the fridge for a while to let everything firm up a bit." Dan groans but picks up the cake and places it on the top shelf of the fridge.

I feel pretty proud of the work we did today. But we never got that coffee.

Hello my friends! Sorry it's been a while, but if you don't already know I have deleted all my other book apart from this one and Adopted By Dan And Phil which I only started recently but has quite a few chapters.

I would really appreciate it if you went and read it as it is not too successful at the moment as it hasn't been up for long.

Thanks!

Sorry for any spelling or gramatical inaccuracies within this chapter.

Until next time!

I am not longer doing the whole 'keep reading' thing cause I don't have enough reasons to read ^-^
