Chapter 264 - Reunion of Flames

It was still strange to think that Nyssa would willingly continue to follow me. Our battle last night was still noticeable from the amount of destruction that was done to the nearby woods was quite noticeable from the inhabitants of the island. With the mansion kind of destroyed, the soldiers had built tents for me and Nyssa so that we could actually have some place to work with the repairs that were now going on upon the Mansion.

Kalia was completely shocked when she had learn that we had a fight. Her reaction had been kinda funny to take in as she took notice of the light bruises that were upon Nyssa's body and the few ones that I had from being send blasting through the trees by Nyssa when we had started to fight.

"I can't believe the two of you," she said, shaking her head, "When I heard the explosions last night, I thought we were under attack by more of those pirates you destroyed…but only for Garret to say that the two of you had a disagreement?"

Nyssa and I exchanged glances and the two of us shrugged our shoulders. It's not like we can actually reveal the reason why we were fighting in the first place thought, the air around Nyssa had changed significantly. It was like she was more open…than before if something like that could even be possible considering how close the two of us were before she learn that I was a spy…

I never really expected to make friends when I first came here into this place but it seems I have managed to make one at least during my time here. I couldn't help the small grin that grew upon my lips, turning to face Kalia's frown.

"I think as a member of the Shields, these type of destruction came with the title," I told her with a light shrug of my shoulder, "None of you guys were injured when part of the Mansion blew up right?"

"Well, you scared the girls half to death so congratulation on that," Kalia told me with a shake of her head.

"As long as no one was killed," Nyssa said, "Then I can rest with a good conscience then. I would hate to think that I killed someone just because I was pissed off."

Kalia had finished placing the food for us as the young woman turned her gaze toward me again.

"That reminds me," she said, "What was it that the two of you were fighting about? I didn't think that anything could have caused to two of you to battle each other?"

Nyssa chuckled.

"Well, even the best of us lose our tempers every now and then," she said.

"And I was the one who had to deal with the brunt of that temper," I reminded her, earning an exasperated look from the latter and I couldn't help the laugh that escape from my lips at that.

Kalia simply rolled her eyes at our antics before a soldier arrived inside the tent. The man gave a bow at his entrance drawing our attention toward him before he extended a letter toward me.

"It's from the Capital Lady Enelaros," he said, "An urgent message."

"Invel," I said taking the letter from him, "Finally, I was starting to think that he had forgotten about me."

I unfolded the letter and took in what was written inside of it. I stared at the words upon it completely taken aback by them but also could feel something else tightening in my gut.

Venum,

Three days ago, a spy was discovered within the capital but before our forces could apprehend her, she had managed to escape us. There is reason to believe that she is heading straight for Caracole Island. It could be a place as to where she is meeting another group of spy. Considering the first time this happened, they used Caracole as a point to infiltrate the Empire. With you there, the process might be more difficult for them. There is also a chance that they are part of a guild from Fiore…with Fairy Tail being the top of that list considering Makarov's presence here in our Capital.
