Chapter 6

Chapter 6: Good shark, bad shark

Aiden and Ame stood outside the room, leaning at the wall in the corridor which was next to the door where Gura was held.

Ame asked Aiden "Are you sure she'll come with us?"

Aiden had a calm face, he closed his eyes and responded "Maybe in another 5 minutes."

Ame eyes widened and had a face full of shock, she jumped towards Aiden immediately.

""LOOK OUT!!!" Ame pushed Aiden away from where he's standing and the automatic doors outside Gura's tank busted open by a torrent of water that even dug into the concrete wall that stopped it.

Sounds of pitter patter on the wet floor could be heard getting closer and closer.

A small figure holding a red trident came out of the room. She looked at both Aiden and Ame on the ground.

Aiden was surprised, " Gura?"

Blue strands of Gura's hair turned red along with her blue eyes. She let out a wide smile that displayed rows of razor sharp teeth.

"I found ya~" Gura sang.

Ame quickly got up and pulled Aiden from the floor, "We need to get out of here! NOW!"

Gura materialized a long blue hoodie that covered her body. Large amount of water started gushing out of the room, filling up the corridor. Frozen spikes was formed on a wall of water

Aiden ran without any thinking while Ame guided him.

Ame yelled "Collapse the corridor! That'll buy us some time!!"

Aiden heeded her instruction and by making a hand gesture the concrete corridor collapsed.

"What's next?" Aiden asked Ame.

"We need to destroy the hook! And bury the whole facility! That thing cannot get out of here at all cost!" Ame demanded.

"Consider it done." Aiden had many questions but he figured that he should save them for later.

Aiden and Ame got out from the exit and Aiden destroyed the hook. The facility was dropped into the abyss, and a loud crashing sound could be heard. Both of them ascended back to the surface without a scratch.

"What was that?" Aiden asked Ame.

Ame looked at Aiden and responded, "The leviathan blood in her, It managed to maintain its own ego."

Aiden felt a chill from his back. "You should have said that earlier, it seems that we're too late."

"What do you mean? She's 12 kilometers underground." Ame retorted.

"You don't understand... anywhere a leviathan goes becomes the sea." Aiden calmly spoke.

The ground lost its moisture in an instant, becoming cracked and then eventually turned into fine dust.

Aiden could feel the ground rumbling from beneath. Water started to erupt from the ground in small pillars that gradually enlarged, forming a beautiful rainbow in the sky.

"Damn it!" Ame cursed.

The whole ground sank in gradually and all the pillars of water combined together. A silhouette of a short human could be seen as a shadow within the pillar. The shadow became more visible as it walked out of the water pillar while carrying a red trident.

It was the leviathan, she knocked her red trident on the ground. The turbulent water turned calm. The water that was shot up into the skies rained down on the three of them.
