CHAPTER 12 - SEPERATION

ABHIMAAN'S POV

I opened my eyes only to find myself in the hospital. I looked around the room to find that Yash was sleeping on the couch.

"Yash" I called him out my voice a bit hoarse.

As soon as Yash heard my voice he came running to me

"Thank god Abhi you are fine I was so scared"

I could see him tearing up.

"Where is Amaira " that was the only thing that mattered to me right now

"She is fine" said Yash lowely

"Take me to her right now"

"No Abhi you need rest"

"I said right now" I said angrily

He gave out a defeated sigh and asked me to follow him

I saw Amaira lying on the bed with all the machines attached to her body. I could feel my heart tearing up. I went near her and held her hand. Her face used to chubby and rosy because of her pregnancy but now it's all gone. I touched her stomach gently to feel our baby but all I could feel was emptiness. I cried putting my head on her shoulder.

"I am sorry Amaira beacause of me you are in this condition " I mumbled while crying

"I am sorry baby your father couldn't protect you." I sobbed even more

Just then I could feel Amaira moving

"Water.. water" She mumbled

I quickly picked up the glass filled with water kept on the table and made her drink it

"Maan our baby Maan" she cried hugging me

"What was the baby's fault in all of this why did he have to die" She cried more making my heart shatter into pieces

"It's all my fault Amaira"

"But now I won't let you suffer anymore. It will be best if I leave you" I said determinedly but my heart was breaking from inside while saying this.

"But how can I live without you I will die" she cried clutching my shirt even more tightly .

"Amaira my mother can go to any extent, I am scared now I can't let her harm you or anyone else" I cupped her face and looked in her eyes softly.

"No Maan no" She shaked her head vigorously.

"Amaira beta he saying the correct thing " said Gayatri Maa

When did she come ?

"No ma I love him a lot , I can't live without him" said Amaira

"But I can't loose you beta after your parents died you are only one I have" She broke down while saying this

"But Ma"

"No Amaira you have already seen what his mother can do and she has already threatened him to stay away from you or else she will kill everyone including kids in the orphanage" shouted Gayatri ma and went out of the room

"Please Amaira listen to her" I said softly while tears constantly flowing from my eyes

She just hugged me and I hugged her back with the same intensity. It was as if I am feeling her close to myself for the last time. I inhaled her fruity smell which I love a lot. I pulled out of the hug and just looked at her face to capture all the details of it as I don't know when I will see her again.

"Amaira I guess we are not meant to be together " I said softly caressing her hair .

We both kept our foreheads against eachother, both of us were shedding tears and our hearts were bleeding .
