I've been stuck in this stupid shucking place for around 6 months now. New Greenies come every month, but they're all boys. I've adapted to the Glader's language too. Honestly, the Glade isn't the worst place on Earth, if we even are on Earth.
I've grown closer to Newt and Minho, but our newest Greenie is a young boy named Chuck. He's around 11 or 12, so he's the youngest of all of us.
"Greenie day! You excited Y/N?" Gally asked me as I sat down with my plate of breakfast.
Gally and I have also gotten a lot closer in these couple of months too.
"I'm so excited" I said to the boy sarcastically as he say down across from me.
"Who knows, maybe it'll be another girl" He said through a mouthful of food.
By now, Minho, Chuck, Alby, and Newt had joined our conversation.
"Y/N, you're in charge of giving the tour today." Alby said.
"Wait, what, why?" I asked. I had given Chuck his tour last time and we usually switches who gives the tours.
"I'm going to be with Minho in the maze, and Newt is in charge of the Glade while I'm gone" Alby explained. I whined slightly, but Alby was in charge, so I had to listen to his orders.

the Greenie alarm had rung while I was cleaning up a cut on Winston's hand. After these 6 months, I've learned that the Slicers get most of the injuries from basically slicing their hands open.
"Oh klunk, Greenie alarm, Y/N" Winston said as I was still stitching up his hand.
"It's fine, it'll take the box 30 minutes to come up either way" I replied, focusing on his hand.
I soon finished stitching him up, wiping away the excess blood and running down to meet the other Gladers that surrounded the lid of the unopened box. I had 5 minutes left to spare.
"Still hasn't come up?" I asked Newt as he waited with his hand over his mouth ever so slightly.
He shook his head no as I sat on the grass. Those 5 minutes felt like 5 years. As the box opened, I couldn't even hop in. A boy sat on the floor, hair matted to his forehead from sweat, shielding his eyes with his left arm to block out the sun. He had short brown hair and was rather muscular.
Gally hopped in after looking at the boy.
"Day one, Greenie. Rise and shine" Gally said as he grabbed the boys shirt, throwing him up towards us.
The Greenie landed at my feet, head in the ground. He peered up at us, making eye contact with almost all of the Gladers.
"Hey Gre-" Before I could even finish my sentence, the boy sprinted off towards the opening of the maze.
I had learned more about the maze, as Minho came back every day telling me about his adventures.
"We got a runner!" Someone shouted as we all watched him run. We rarely had a runner, but if we did, they never usually got far. This Greenie seemed to be going faster than all the others though.
"Should we run after him?" I asked Newt as we still observed.
"No, let's just see how far he can ma-" Newt couldn't finish his sentence.
The poor boy had face planted onto the grass. We gave him some space as we watched him get up from the floor. He gaped at the four walls that trapped us in the Glade.
The Greenie had reminded me of myself when I first landed in the Glade. All of us quickly ran up to him, I stuck out my hand to help him get up.
"Put him in the Pit" Newt stated as a couple of the boys grabbed him by his arms.
The Pit was like our miniature prison. It was one of the safest and most secure places in the Glade.
"Give him a couple minutes before you give him the tour. He's probably still shaken up" Newt said as he pulled a carrot from the ground. I nodded as I watched him continue farming.
"You just going to keep staring at me?" Newt asked with a slight smirk. I looked into his dark brown eyes, not really knowing what to say.
"I- uhm, well, uhm. I'm gonna go check on the Greenie" I said, fumbling over my words. I heard Newt chuckle before I walked away.
I walked over to the Slammer, seeing the Greenie who just stood and stared out of the cage's doors.
"Hey Greenie" I said to the boy with a small style. I startled the boy a little, as he jumped out of his trance.
"Oh hi" He replied, meeting my eyes.
"If I open this door, you won't run, okay?" I asked him. He nodded slightly. I helped him get out of the Slammer, offering my hand for him to take.
"Take it all in" I said with a small sigh. The Glade looked beautiful in the middle of the day. The sun glistened over everything, slightly bouncing off some of the walls.
"Well, my name is Y/N. Can you tell me anything? Your name? Where you're from?" I asked him, repeating the first words that Alby had said to me.
"I can't remember anything... Why can't I remember anything?" He asked alarmed.
"Hey, relax, it's okay. Everyone here has been through the same thing you have. Your name will come back to you in a few days. Don't worry. It's the one thing they let us keep" I said to him.
"Who are they?" He asked.
"The Creators. They're the ones that put us in this box." I replied. "The box sends one new Greenie up each month, and it gives us supplies. You Greenie, got a one way ticket up to the Glade" I added enthusiastically.
The Greenie was muscular and he was rather good looking.
"Why am I here?" He asked staring down at me. Boy these Gladers kept getting more attractive.
"We don't know. The Creators put us in here for some shucking reason though." I replied, walking off towards the Homestead.
I waved to Newt and he made his way over to us.
"Hi, Greenie. Name's Newt" He said, holding out his hand. This gave me dejavu. Reminded me of when I first landed in the Glade.
Chuck had followed him to us too.
"Hi, I'm Chuck! I'm the youngest here" Chuck said with excitement
Chuck went through basic instructions and everything else while I had to leave to help Clint with something in the Med-jack hut.
