BEN'S POV
*The next day*

"Can you stop walking for just a moment??" Luci asks me.

I don't answer her continuing to walk through the house in hopes of losing her.

She pretty much has to jog to keep up with my stride.

"Ben, we should talk." Luci continues speaking.

"There's nothing to say." I shrug.

"There's a lot I have to say. I want to start with a sorry." She retorts.

"Again, your apology isn't needed." I remind her.

"Yes it is! You're upset with me and I want to figure out why-"

I stop in my track causing her to bump into me and fall.

"Why?" My voice is laced with venom.

"Well- I meant. I know why you're mad.. I just want to know why you won't accept my apology." She looks up at me from the ground.

"You shot me twice, and completely disobeyed orders made to keep you safe." I cross my arms.

"So you're still mad because I put my life in danger? I apologized for shooting you." She says as she stands up.

"I'm not mad at you." I tell her.

"Then why are you-"

"I''m furious." I continue, "Livid, completely, incensed." I tell her.

Her jaw clenches.

"You ruined everything. And now we're stuck here. If we try to leave it'll only end up getting us killed. Do you understand that?" I ask her.

"Ben.. I-.." She can't find any words.

"What, you're sorry?" I ask her.

"I love you." She says suddenly, sending my thoughts into over drive. "That's the only reason I willingly came here. Regardless of it was going to kill me, being away from you really, really sucked. You know I never meant for you to be kidnapped or for any of this to happen. I let my emotions control my actions and I know I messed everything up!" She takes a deep breath.

"The only way I could show you i'm sorry is by coming here. To you. To tell you. In person." She tells me.

Complete disregarding what she said, "Does Spade have a plan?" I ask her.

She stares at me for a moment, most likely becoming upset I didn't respond to anything she said.

"No. He doesn't. I just told you why i'm here." Luci replied.

"Then you wasted your time." I say turning on my heals.

The next second she's grabbing the back of my hoodie, bring her body as close to mine as possible. Her head resting on the center of my back.

"Please, please don't walk away from me right now." She begs.

"Luci, let go." I tell her.
