LUCI'S POV
*The next day*
Ben's nowhere to be found.
He's unbelievable most times.
Am I mad he didn't say he liked me back?
A little.
But, what hurts worse is that he just stared and said nothing.
He's still in love with Claudia.
Maybe we're the same.. In some ways.
He doesn't want a new love because he's still in love with Claudia.
I don't want a new mom, but that's only because I don't know what happened to my original one.
Okay maybe we're not the same.
I actually have a valid reason to be stubborn.
Well.. His is a little valid too.
You know what, it doesn't matter!
If he wants to play hard to get, i'll just have to get good at the game.
BEN'S POV
She's not dead.
Why do I feel like death would be a better thing to tell her..
I can make it look like she died, or I can kill her to make it believable.
I like the latter.
I close my laptop, but not before saving the file on a flash drive.
"Thanks for letting me hide in your office." I tell Elijah.
"No problem.. But.. Maybe you should apologize to Luci." Elijah sits back in his chair.
"Apologize for what?" I cross my arms.
Elijah's silent for a moment. Looking at me with a puzzled expression.
"Never mind," He replied. "But I think it might be better to admit your feeling rather than hide them." Elijah continues.
I stare at him, unamused.
"Maybe fate wanted you with Luci instead of Claudia."
"Stop trying to justify her death." I snap.
"Well how else am I supposed to get you to get over Claudia? She's gone Ben, and I know you already heard this from Mia. But were you truly listening?" He asks me.
"I'll get over Claudia on my own time,
and terms. I don't need you all telling me what's what. Seriously." I raise my voice. "We married, eloped, whatever. However you wanna take it." I confess.
"She wasn't just my girl friend Elijah. When I say a I loved her I mean-"
I was cut off by Elijah choking me.
He slammed my body against the wall, and I was quick enough to protect my head.
"You.. Did what, with her?.. Without my blessing?" His expression is manic.
