Later that day , miss Mare came
and brought me breakfast at my room.
Four days have passed since the incident and my 'brother' has yet to speak to me.
I guess it was better that way, I wasn't very well those days. I'm sitting in my room, lying on the bed, looking at the ceiling. Someone knocked on the door and then opened it. I didn't turn to look who it is because only Mrs. Mare comes here. "Sir wants to see you ma'am"
Well, I don't believe it. Did he remember I exist? What a good man!
"Ma'am, sir said it's urgent" she said a little scared.
I got up and followed her. What must be so serious this early in the morning?

I sit in his office chair and wait for him. It was urgent but he is late 20 minutes.
Is he serious?
I was ready to get up and leave but then he opened his office door.
Finally!
My butt hurts in this chair.
He sat down and looked at me "There was traffic on the road" he said in a cold voice as if nothing was happening.
I didn't even realize he wasn't home. He handed me a piece of paper.
"First of all from now on your name won't be Barrow but Rossi. Second I talked to your doctors and got your nausea meds and your anxiety meds ready. You'll be starting school next week after you get your supplies. And finally , tomorrow we're going to get what you need . You can leave now."
No way I'm going shopping with him.

The city was far from the house, about 30 minutes by car, and the mall was in the center of the city so it would have been another 10 minutes.
Miss Mare woke me up early in the morning as my brother told her.
I didn't sleep well last night and I'm still tired.
"We'll be there in five minutes." the driver said to Shades. I was trying not to fall asleep and to look rested.
I have no desire to start walking for the next two hours looking for clothes and having my 'brother' follow me everywhere with that critical look of his.
The mall is huge and full of people. Everywhere I look there are shops and policemen. What the hell are so many cops doing here? I turned to look at Shades but he didn't even look at me.
I was tired of his behavior. I won't waste my time dealing with morons.
I started walking a little faster not wanting to be around him much longer.
"Don't move away from me. There are a lot of people"
"Do you want me to hold your hand so I don't get lost?"
"Maybe" he said in his usual cold voice.
Don't bother Elli, it's not worth it.
After exactly two hours we were done shopping and headed for the car. I got everything i needed.
The lesson of the day? Would hanging out with a caterpillar be more fun than my brother's company.
"Should I be offended?" I turned to look at him quizzically.
Damn it. Did I say that out loud?
"Yeah you said it and watch your tongue" he said sternly
This is it! I can't do this anymore .
"Fuck you for thinking you can tell me what to do. You're supposed to be my brother-"
"I'm your brother"
"I'd say you treated me more like a pet rather than a sister"
He was looking at me with a look I couldn't describe. Out of nowhere he started walking towards the car as if nothing was happening.
I hate him!
I hate him!
I'm used to being ignored but that doesn't mean I like it.
"Elli, we'll talk about it when we get home." he said when i got in the car.
Brilliant! Now I can die in peace.
He motioned for the driver to start and followed the orders he was given.
I wonder what that feeling might be like. Obeying someone without feeling the strong need to do the opposite just to get on their nerves.
I'll probably never know, I don't like people telling me what to do anyway.
The first thing I thought to do as soon as I stepped out of the car was to run as fast as my legs would let me and lock myself in my room.
But unfortunately luck is not on my side.
"Elli in my office now" I followed him with my head high and a false confidence on my every step,when in reality I have shit my pants in fear.
I hope he doesn't kill me in his office - although it's a nice place to die if you think about it you'll die in luxury literally.
What am I saying?!
I need to take my pills.
