"Elli, I have to go to work as you know, so until I come back you will stay here with your cousins."
Shades told me before he turned to look at the cousins that would probably stay here with me.
"Don't tear the house down. Understood?" he said sternly.
They nodded and all said loudly "Yes sir!"
Did I say they said it loudly? I mean they shouted it so loud I think the kitchen was shaking for a moment.
Shades didn't bother to answer further and left the area where we were all gathered, - having the cousins who will also leave for work - following him.
When I made sure that he was completely gone I left and made my way to my room.
I don't know how to feel about the last two months. First, my family dies, I'm forced to stay in the torture place called foster care, and then here I am, sharing a house with my half-brother who, from what I understand, hates me.
What else could go wrong?
Am I hallucinating or is the floor shaking? "Oh wait!" said a man's heavy voice.
Are the heavens talking to me? God I didn't do anything I swear on my mom's life... oh I forgot, you took her away from me.
"Ellie, wait!" the voice came closer and closer where and at some point I sensed a presence behind me. I kept walking because I just didn't feel like talking to my "cousins".
"Are you okay? Why are you running? Is someone chasing you?" he said with a small chuckle.
I didn't even turn to look at him - to see who he was - I just kept walking.
"This is getting tiresome" he said and stepped in front of me, blocking my way. Then I got a chance to see who he is.
I think his name is Mori.
"I don't know if you remember my name but I'm Theo." he told me with a smile.
I guess I'll have to jog my memory.
"Um..uh...I....basically.."
"Tell me what you want" I told him in a cold dimanding tone which surprised him.
"After all, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree" he said more to himself but I heard it.
"What do you mean by that" I told him in the same tone i talked to him before but took a step forward.
"Nothing, I just wanted to ask you if you wanted to come with me to pick up my brother from school"
Wait... I'm so confused.
"Me, Colten and Kai have a little brother. His name is Angel."
Now everything is explained.
"So...do you want to come?"
"I-"
"Before you say no I'll get you whatever you want just please come with me-"
"Why? Is there a specific reason you don't want to go alone?"
" If you come with me - " I started walking away from him and he started begging me to turn back.
Boys.
"I'll get you clothes"
I kept going
"I'll get you shoes "
I kept going
"I'll get you .. FOOD!"
Tempting offer but no
"I'll even get you books if you want-" as soon as those words came out of his mouth I had stopped and turned to look at him.
"How many books can you buy me?"
"Whatever your heart desires" he said surprised.
"Fine, I will come"

We've been waiting outside his school for half an hour and he's still in school.
Maybe it wasn't such a good idea after all.
As we were driving to Angel's school Theo was trying to chat with me but I wasn't responding at all.
After much effort he stopped talking, and now we have been sitting for half an hour in his car - a very nice car I must say - without talking and looking at thin air.
Suddenly the back door of the car opened and a small body entered. Climb into the seats and sit in the child seat.
With Theo's help, he was able to put on his seat belt.
And then he realized that I was also in the car with them. He looked me in the eye as he tugged at his brother's sleeve in quick motions.
"Theo, a beautiful lady is in the car" he said in an attempt to whisper.
"Alright kiddo, remember when I told you we were going to Bubu to meet his sister?" He said to the little one as he had a thinking expression painted on his little face.
When he understood what his brother was telling him then he looked at him in surprise and gestured for him to bend down to whisper something in his ear. Theo obeyed his little brother's orders and did what he was told. They both started laughing while giving me furtive glances.
"Yeah you're right kid, it is" what was that now? Before I could say anything, Theo had already started the car.

Did he called Shades Bubu?!
