━━━ After a long and eventful day, I decided to treat myself to some well-deserved relaxation. I ran a warm bubble bath, allowing the bathroom to fill with the sweet scent of lavender, my favorite. The flickering candlelight on the countertop added to the serene ambiance as I prepared for my bath.

Slipping into the fragrant sea of bubbles, I could feel the tension melting away as the warm water enveloped me. I closed my eyes, leaning back in the clawfoot tub, and let out a contented sigh. The soothing water seemed to erase the worries of the day, leaving me with a sense of tranquility.

The candlelight flickered gently, casting warm, dancing shadows on the bathroom walls, creating a calm and inviting atmosphere. The soft sound of the bubbles popping provided a soothing background soundtrack, making the entire experience even more relaxing.

After some time, I rose from the bath, dried myself off, and changed into my pajamas, a soft white Victorian-inspired nightgown. While not my first choice, it was what I had on hand.

I let my hair down, leaving it natural, and checked on Grim, who was already fast asleep at the foot of the bed, snoring softly.

With a tired smile, I walked over, tucked myself into bed, and whispered a goodnight to my slumbering companion. Then, I gently blew out the bedside candle, allowing the room to be bathed in the soothing darkness, where I could finally unwind and drift into a peaceful sleep.

Lying in bed, sleep was a distant dream I couldn't seem to catch. Restlessness had consumed me. My sigh broke the silence as I plucked the pillow from beneath my head, briefly entertaining the idea of smothering myself with it to ease my frustration. However, after throwing the pillow aside, an unexpected glimmer caught the corner of my eye.

"Did... the mirror just start shining?" I questioned in a hushed murmur, eyes widening. I climbed out of bed and reached for a candlestick on the dresser, proceeding with cautious steps toward the mysterious mirror.

I hesitated, raising my hand to touch the smooth surface, half-expecting it to yield nothing. My laughter, tainted by nerves, echoed in the room. "To think something was going to pop out of the mirror. Haha! Very funny!" My voice wavered. It was then, as I withdrew my hand, that the impossible happened.
