Lara's POV

I was at the office doing my work when suddenly, I got a text from Damon and it said,

"Hello. I want to ask if you are free tonight."

Why did he ask? But I'm free tonight.

"Hi, and yes, I am free tonight. Why did you ask?" I replied.

"Let's eat dinner together."

OMG! Damon is asking me to eat dinner with him.

"Okay," I agreed.

"Okay. When will you be done with work?" Damon asked.

"Maybe around 7?" I said with a question mark because I was not sure.

"Okay. I will go there later to pick you up."

"Ok"

"See you later,"

"See you later,"

Damon asked me out for dinner. My heart is beating so fast. Don't think about anything. Lara, it's just a friendly dinner together and nothing more, so don't assume.

Damon and I are testing every day, and it's been five days now. It started when we first met at the orphanage.

Damon would text me good morning or evening, asking how my day was, asking if I had already arrived home, texting random topics, and so on. It's like Damon is my boyfriend, but I can't fall for him deeply because we have different worlds. He is on top, while I'm just average. I admit that I started to love Damon when I first met him, but I want to stop my feelings. I know it's hard, but I'll try.

Fast forward, and my work is done.

I and the other employees are going out to go home.

I stopped in front of the building to wait for Damon to arrive.

"Are you not going home, Lara? Are you waiting for someone?" A colleague said.

"Yeah," I answered.

"Is that someone your boyfriend?" She asked curiously.

"What? No!" I quickly answered.

"In denial," she teased me.

"Okay, we're going home. See you tomorrow," she added.

"Okay. Take care, and see you tomorrow," I waved at her.

My phone vibrated, and it was Damon. He said he was waiting at the parking lot, so I went there and saw him leaning on his car. He is so handsome.

"Let's go," Damon said.

"Ok"

Damon opens the door of the car for me. Such a gentleman.

And we are on our way to eat dinner.

"How is work?" he asked.

"It's quite tiring. A lot of paper works, but it's worth it," I answered honestly.

"Great. I also had a hard time considering that I'm the CEO of my company," Damon said.

Damon and I talked about random topics after that.

After some minutes, we arrived at a fancy restaurant.

We got out of the car and went inside the restaurant.

"Good evening, sir. Do you have a reservation?" A girl at the front desk asked.

"Yes. A table for two. My name is Damon Sanders," Damon said.
