jake walked along the empty and dark streets, it was very quiet except for the music playing in his ears that he hummed along to.
he pulled his oversized hoodie over his head to keep his ears warm, if he was being honest it was pretty cold outside.

it was a saturday morning when he decided to get some coffee.
he couldve drove but he decided it'd be better to get some exercise and walk there.

but why was he going at 5:00am?

he couldn't fall back asleep so he figured it'd be better to get a head start on his day. even if it was the weekend and he only planned on playing video games all day.

jake walked inside the shop, soon feeling the warm air hitting his face.

it had a very calming aura, the beige colors, the quiet music playing in the background.
jake definitely liked the vibe here.

he's never actually been to this café but it felt intriguing.. also it was the only one open this early so he went inside, putting his headphones around his neck as he walked up to the counter.

the barista smiled politely at him, when he noticed him. "good morning, what can i get for you?" he was a attractive guy, probably around the same age as jake.

his name tag read... soobin?

oh is that who jungwon mentioned the other day?
eh whatever..

"hey. can i please get an iced americano?" jake asked as he pulled out his wallet, the guy only nodded and put something into the computer.
"no need to pay. it's early and i'm feeling good today so.. it's on me." he grinned brightly which made jake stare at him in shock.

once he came to his senses, he finally smiled back and nodded "that's nice of you, thank you." he mumbled as he put his wallet back into his pocket.

as soobin walked away to make his drink, he looked around the cozy shop once he realized that there was someone else in there.
but he had was turned around and was staring out the window,
although even just his back seemed familiar to jake.

jake tilted his head as he tried to think hard about it but soobin knocked him out of thoughts as he came back over and held out the drink, "here you go. have a great day~" soobin said sweetly when jake took it, the boy bowed and walked back off somewhere.

jake smiled to himself, at first he kind of thought soobin was flirting with him but he realized that the barista was probably just trying to be nice.
which was good, he didn't know how to deal with people flirting with him.

he'd hardly been able to deal with heeseungs flirting.

jake let his curiosity get the best of him when he hesitantly walked towards the boy to get a better look at him,

once he got close enough to see his profile, his mouth formed into a small smile.

of course he'd run into sunghoon here.

jake! you're not supposed to be happy about seeing him.

but.. i haven't seen him in a week or two- it wouldn't hurt to talk to him right?

we're only friends anyways.

"hoon! long time, no see." jake said, trying to hide his excitement as he sat in the empty seat beside the brown haired boy, who looked over at him, his eyes widened a little at first but he started smiling.
