One sided // jakehoon

eventually, sunghoon and jake finished shopping. they ended up buying some alcohol drinks and some sodas, per jakes suggestion.
they didn't forget to buy lots of snacks as well.

on the drive back, it was quiet but jake was glad because of that.
he was still internally panicking from earlier. he just wanted to know why sunghoon suddenly did that.. he said that they should just get to know each other? not actually make moves on him.
jake wouldn't complain though, he just hoped he would get an answer soon enough— he was pretty impatient.. well impatient for this to be specific, it's the one thing he's been waiting for... forever basically.
he just really wished that it would go how he wanted it to.

"what're you thinking about?" sunghoon suddenly broke the silence, glancing over at the boy beside him.
jake slowly smiled and shrugged his shoulders, suddenly looked over at sunghoon and just now realizing how cute he looked today.. sure, he looked great everyday— but today he wore some blue jeans, and a white button up that was loose on him and had a few buttons unbuttoned at the top. he really pulled it off perfectly— while jake practically wore what he slept in.

jake couldn't help but fall for him more just seeing him like that.
"if i tell you honestly.. i was thinking about why you kissed my cheek earlier." jake said as he broke his focus on the boys face to look out the front window.
he wasn't sure how he suddenly got confidence just to say it like that, but he figured that he might as well be truthful- especially if he ended up dating him someday...

sunghoon chuckled softly and carefully took his closest hand and reached over to pat jakes thigh.
jake looked down at his hand, his eyes slightly widening but he couldn't say that he didn't like it.
he just knew that he needed to stop overthinking all of sunghoons actuons.

sunghoon patted his leg one more time and then kept his hand there. right when jake felt like he was calm, he just kept hand rested there.
jake could feel his ears heating up, he hoped that he wouldn't notice.

"i told you why already jake~ it's because you're so cute, why would i hold back?.. especially since we both know that we like each other, right?" sunghoon said softly, gently squeezing his thigh which had jakes face heat up even more. he knew that he probably looked like a tomato right now.

"you like me?" jake quietly asked as he tried to ignore sunghoons hand and looked over at his face.
sunghoon smiled and glanced at him, meeting his eyes and then looking back the road. he seemed to not even realize how flustered he really was making jake feel.

"i thought you were aware already.. of course i like you."

jake only looked at him, raising his eyebrows as he was a bit confused. he didn't know what he meant by that, because he definitely didn't remember sunghoon telling him that he actually liked him... he did say that he was starting to before, but jake was still confused.

"then why aren't we dating yet?"
jake asked, not sure why he suddenly had the confidence again to say something so forward. he knew that his words just decided to slip out of his mouth.

sunghoon looked at him, obviously taken aback by his sudden expression change.
until he showed a playful smile as he looked back at the road, slightly shrugging his shoulders.
"because i haven't had the chance to ask you silly— just be patient."

jake stared at him and he couldn't hide the smile that began growing on his face. although he was still a little confused on what sunghoon meant by that, it did make him very happy to hear that.

"what's that mean?"

sunghoon laughed softly and shook his head, finally moving his hand off of jakes leg and back to the steering wheel. jake let go of the breath that he didn't know he was holding.
"don't question it~ how about you put music on? i'm in the mood to sing." he said, glancing at jake with a smile.
jake raised his eyebrows curiously but none the less, he turned the music on.
