One sided // jakehoon

"hey jake! hey heeseung" sunghoon said nicely as he walked up to their table, smiling politely but there was something different about the smile that jake couldn't quite point out..
maybe a hint of jealousy?

"hi hoon" jake still couldn't help himself but feel at ease immediately, smiling softly up at him.
meanwhile, heeseung stayed a bit silent but he muttered out a polite hello. "can i join you two for a little bit? i'll leave in a bit, just wanted to say hi." sunghoon grinned and sat down besides jake, not waiting for an answer.

jake looked at him confusingly before scooting away a little bit so he wasn't too close.
no matter how much he liked sunghoon, he felt it was a little disrespectful since he was on a very.. cute date with heeseung at the moment.

jake glanced at heeseung to see his reaction but he seemed to have a blank expression on, with a small smile but jake could tell it was fake.
"so! what're you guys doing here?" sunghoon asked, glancing at both of them. he sounded different too which jake couldn't understand.

jake hesitated to say anything, especially with this heavy atmosphere all of a sudden. he felt like he could die from awkwardness.
luckily, heeseung didn't hesitate.

"we're on a date, actually." he answered with a bitter tone, jake realized he tried to hide it as much as possible but that's just how it came out. he could tell he was annoyed.

sunghoon smiled a little, yet the smile didn't reach his eyes. jake could tell it was fake as well.

oh my god. what do i do? the two guys i like are sitting right here.. together. this is so weird.

please get me out of this situation.

jake talked to himself in his head, hoping to get out of this somehow but he knew there was no way unless he wanted to make some sort of scene.

"that's cute.. but since when did you guys start going on dates?" sunghoon asked, a hint of annoyance in his tone and the fake smile still plastered on his face.
jake raised an eyebrow, looking at heeseung who seemed even more annoyed. 

jake decided to reply for once, "since today.. it's our first date. and it's been really fun." jake answered honestly, and maybe he was trying to see how sunghoon would react. maybe.

sunghoon and heeseung both looked over at jake, which he suddenly felt a bunch of pressure on him. he smiled awkwardly.

sunghoon looked serious for a moment but smiled, "well that's nice.. do you guys think you're going to go on another one soon?" sunghoon asked without hesitation, he had this confident expression on while smiling at heeseung.

this only confused jake even more. he knew that sunghoon didn't like him or anything but why was he acting as if he was jealous?? this only confused jakes feelings even more.

"isn't that a bit personal? i mean.. it's for me and jake to talk about, ya know?" jake could tell heeseung was trying to be as nice as possible. which was weird because jake had never seen him be mad or upset before.

sunghoon slowly nodded, "right- yeah, i was just curious. i mean jakes one of my best friends. i just want to make sure you're really good enough for him."

jake didn't know if that really was his intention of coming over here, cause maybe that was the reason he was acting like this. maybe jake was just overthinking too much because of his huge crush on him. he was probably just acting like his friend and being protective. right?
