Chapter 16 Surprise

Lira's Notes: OMG, looks like Lucas can have a long chapter! Yay! Now let's go fixie the capitalization and stuff. BTW 123shivu joined me on editing because I don't have enough patience to do the whole book. :P I'm probably going to split this into two chapters...hm...decisions decisions...

Finally, we had tracked them down to the outskirts of the woods. It was not in the woods but is was not in the city. It looked like a run down factory.

 "Sparky time for you to go," I said. 

"What? No! We're in this together!" Sparky yipped. 

"Go home, please," I said and with that sparky went home. 

I sighed. 'Time to beat up whoever caught my friends.' I thought as I climbed up to the roof. I looked through the roof window and saw nothing except the floor. I opened the window and looked in to make sure that this was not a trick. I had an idea. I bit off one if my nails and let it drop. When it touched the floor it disintegrated into nothing. 

'Whoa, how do I get in?' I thought I extended my claws and dug into the wall. I started clawing my way to the end of the room. The walls were new and smelled like new paint. Windows were posted everywhere so I had to claw around them. I had finally made it past the floor and landed on solid ground. 

"That was interesting," I whispered. Suddenly the whole room lit up and started to come to life. The path that leads me to the end had long axes that would swing back and forth. All around me T.V's were playing different channels. I could not focus. I sat down and started to breathe in and out. Concentrating on the axes, finally, I tuned everything out. I could see the movements of the axes and when they would swing. I dodged them with only a few cuts and scratches. 

'What is next? An upside-down maze? A talking ape?' I thought sarcastically. It was just a room. A well-lit room that was painted green. as soon as I stepped in the room it felt as if though I was beating crushed by gravity, and it hurt. A lot. 

"AHHHHH!" I yelled, my organs felt like trucks with rocks in them. I wanted to give up but I knew that my friends were counting on me. So I used all the anger I could muster and made it through. There were my friends! I ran over to them but they were fakes. 

"No wonder I smelled something fake," I said 

"Well done, I think he passed. What do you think my movie star?" I stopped in my tracks, there were only two people I knew who that said that, and they were dead. I turned around slowly and saw something that made me want to cry. I could not believe it. It was my parents!! 

"What? Wha? what are you guys doing here? I thought you were dead!" I exclaimed.

"Well, we faked our death and we kidnapped your friends," They said with a smile on their face. 

"Why would you do that!?" I yelled.

"It was the only way to awaken your powers, honey. So we could harvest your power and grow stronger. We were hoping that you would join us." My dad said with his hand extended

"Why would I join you?! You're sick!" I screamed with rage.

"Oh so. I thought we raised you better than that," My mom said looking disappointed, with that they knocked me out. The next thing I knew I was locked up with chains around my hands. I was in one of those interrogation rooms with the one sided glass. I had a needle sticking in my arm. I felt drained and tired. Over the speaker, my dad told me that they were stripping me of my power. Since they figured out that I could bestow some power that they could use. That was what I guessed the red power that gave sparky the ability to talk to me. I passed out.
