NORA'S POV

I wake up early. I get ready and take papa out for a walk.

"Are you going to have breakfast with me?"

"Ofcourse, papa."

"That feels good."

I smile.

We reach the inside of the garden where there is the tea house.

"Tea for Mr. Mateo and coffee for Miss Nora."

"Thank you, Louise."

"So I heard you got a boyfriend."

"His name is Kai."

He frowns.

"Does he treat you good better than your ex's?"

I chuckle.

"More than better. Otherwise I would have come alone, papa."

He smiles.

I clear my throat.

"Papa, Allan is getting married."

"Oh. Mija, is it affecting you?"

"I don't know, papa but what I know is that it hurts. It hurts really bad. "

He ruffles my hair.

"We were friends and then we started dating and then the accident. We broke up and we met as adults and started again. Papa, I loved him. And he became an asshole. He told some things which cut me like a knife and it's hurting me really bad."

"Mija, if he loved you he wouldn't have broken up if you had requested to give yourselves some time before getting married. A person who loves you would have fought for you with his mamà when she disrespected you."

Allan's mother never liked me or more like never liked my profession. She always thought that her son deserved better that he could do better than me. She never left moments where she could say something about how I always wore pants or about my appearance.

I didn't care or gave a fuck for his mother but he didn't support me once.

Coward.

"You are right, papa. If he really loved me he would have stopped or warned his mother when she disrespected me."

"You have your whole life, mija. Don't waste it on person who doesn't deserve it. By the way, your boyfriend is too handsome."

I turn around and see Kai jogging shirtless.

O God!!

"Ofcourse, my taste is immaculate."

He laughs.

"What's so funny?"

"Nothing."

I hear footsteps behind me.
