"Mr. Simmons, Nora Cox. We are dating."
I smile and shake his hand.
"Nora, that's our team's manage, Mr. Simmons."
"Nice to meet you, Mr. Simmons."
"Nice to meet you, Miss Cox. Enjoy the event. Excuse me." He says it with a not so subtle fake smile.
"We will." I give him my very subtle fake smile.
When he walks away to speak with other guests, I whisper to Kai.
"No offense, your boss is an arsehole."
He chuckles.
I take a sip of my drink after making sure it's not alcohol.
My phone dings.

This sucks... I just wanna change in my bear PJ's and watch Netflix. Although my outfit is a banger.
P. S - Someone can't stop staring at you. I am totally shipping you both.
I chuckle. My face instantly turns red. I am blushing too often.
Not a good thing.
"You okay?" My eyes widen. I need to stop getting affected by his voice. Overall I need to stop getting so worked up because of him.
"Huh?" I tilt my head in confusion.
Oh.
"Nora?" He frowns.
"I am...fine... Just it's too cold."
It's not. I am lying. I am terrible for lying.
"Alright." His tone indicates that he doesn't believe me.

The outfit looks banger!!! I miss my laptop too. I miss my night suit too.
P. S - Stop shipping us....
"Nora!!"
I put my phone down.
"Nate. Emma."
"You look gorgeous, Nora." Emma is so sweet. How did she fell in love with Nate?
Nate and Kai nod at each other. What is this weird way of greeting?
"Thank you so much, Emma." I smile. I haven't interacted much with her after the wedding. Nate straight away took her for a honeymoon. Thirsty motherfucker.
Emma looks stunning in a red strapless dress.
And Nate, well, he looks like Nate. Neat and perfect like always.
"You look so pretty. Red is your colour."
She blushes. She is so cute. Sigh!! She is too good for him.
"Thank you. Nate bought this dress for me as a gift."
"Good choice, Nate."
His eyes widens at my compliment.
I roll my eyes. It's my mistake. I shouldn't have complimented him.
So he was here because of this work. Huh!
"Good evening, Ladies and Gentlemen. Welcome to the Annual Charity Event. Thank you everyone for joining us today......."
The gentleman starts thanking everyone and informing us about the charity event. My mind drifts away. I am hungry. Really hungry. Finally he stops his speech.
