*TW: mention of cancer, suicide, blood, panic attack*KAI'S POV
Something is wrong. Something is definitely wrong.
The usual scent of Gardenias is missing much to my dismay.
I hate it. I really hate it.
I open my eyes and silently pray that it's a bad dream but it's not. She isn't here.
I frown. I check the bedside table and her phone isn't here.
I walk towards the bathroom and knock the door. I wait for a few seconds and upon getting no response, I open the door. She isn't here but the scent of her shampoo is still lingering.
My heart clenches in panic. She isn't in a good state. The way she was yesterday is making me panic.
She got a damn panic attack yesterday.
I go downstairs and ask the housekeeping and she said that she didn't see her leaving the mansion.
When I ask the valet, he told me she left the mansion but she refused to take the damn car.
I try calling her but she isn't picking up her damn phone.
"Nora! Nora!! You are driving me crazy. Pick up my call."
I go to my room to get ready and I call Ira.
"K, what's wrong?"
"Nora!!! Do you know where is she?"
"No!! What's wrong with Nora? Is she okay? Wait, I am coming to your room."
I hear the door opening and shutting.
I can practically hear her call Eli. Her voice is jittery.
"Ira, don't panic."
"How can you tell me not to panic? What happened?"
A knock cuts through the door.
Eli comes in.
"Don't let anyone know, alright?"
"Can I come with you?"
"No!! Stay put right there."
"Kai! No!!"
I disconnect the call.
"Kai, what happened?"
"I can't reach her."
He stares at me with doubtful gaze.
"Don't look at me like that, Elijah!"
"I trust you, Kai. But what happened? Is Nora in danger?"
Heck, I don't even know if she is safe. I want her to be safe.
"It's not my story to tell. It's hers. Let's not waste time."
I call her bookstore friend. But Nora isn't there too.
When we get down the stairs, we come face to face with Nora's papa.
He frowns.
"Nora?"
"Sir."
"Nora, she will at the cemetery behind St. Joseph Church. It's nearby."
How does he know?
"She is there. The driver will take you there."
We get in the car. There is a old church and the cemetery is right behind it.
