NORA'S POV
"Are you okay?"
He is coughing so bad. Was this a bad idea? I pat his back.
"Excuse me, Miss! Can I please get some cold milk?"
She looks at him and understands.
"Breathe, Kai. Why did you have it when you can't handle spicy food?"
He coughs. He so can't handle spicy food.
"Because I thought I could."
"Just because you thought you could?"
I am in disbelief.
I start laughing.
"I am dying here and you are laughing."
He looks so offended but then a toothy grin charms his face.
"I can't help it. I am sorry."
"Here is the milk."
"Have it." I signal him.
I still haven't stopped laughing.
"I am sorry. I won't laugh."
"Don't ever apologize for laughing. It looks good on you."
My heart races and it feels good. It shouldn't, right?
"Are you feeling better now?"
"A lot."
He again takes a spoonful of the hot pot and I stop him.
"Let's order something mild for you."
"I can handle it."
"Kai." I raise a eyebrow.
"Alright."
I smile.
"That's good."
We finish our lunch.
"Let's walk for sometime."
"Walk sounds good. The weather is also good."
He takes hold of my hand like it's normal for us to hold hands.
He intertwines our fingers and my heart skips a beat.
"So we are going to continue fake dating in New York?" The doubt clogging my mind.
He sighs.
"We have to."
He browses his phone for a second and gives it to me.
"Kai?"
He tips his chin to check out the messages.
The message headboard reads Sophia.
Sophia: You cheated on me. How can you do that to me? Why are you with her? Who is she?
Sophia: Come immediately to New York!
There are more messages with different numbers and they are sexual.
This is so sick. She is so sick. She needs help. Like really.
"Kai! You know!! This is harrasment. You need to file a report. How are you so calm?"
Like seriously!! Why is this guy so calm?
"Nora!! Her dad is too powerful for that."
"Fuck her dad! Leak it to the media."
"Nora!! That girl is crazy but she will give up when she sees that I am in a happy relationship."
