NORA'S POV
We just landed in New York. And I kind of dread it. It's gonna be so busy.
"Stay right here. Archie is here to pick us up." I forgot about his manager, Archie. He only got a gist about our relationship.
"Alright."
I send a quick text to my mom that we safely reached. I text my agent to fix our next meeting.
The voice of murmurs and whispers pulls me away from my phone.
"Are you kidding me? Dalton, you could have picked up my call. You put me in hell and you, yourself was in heaven." I arch an eyebrow at that statement.
"I get it. I get it. Okay!" He rolls his eyes and let's out a exasperated sigh.
"Hey, Nora!" He says it with a smile.
"Hey, Archie!" I smile back.
"Well, we need to move from back door. Reporters have swarmed the front door."
I actually dread this moment. I look away. I don't want anyone to find out about my past.
"Hey! Look at me, Nora!! You will be fine. We will be out of here in seconds. Do you trust me?" He careses my cheek.
I nod. "I trust you, Kai."
He zips my hoodie and puts a cap on me. He makes sure that my face isn't visible.
"Do you have to hide her? The pictures of you guys hanging out is already out. This is not gonna make any difference."
His jaw clenches and his chest tightens.
He points his finger at him.
"Stop that, alright. Stop that, Archie." His voice is firm and threatening.
"Come on, let's go. Don't look anywhere and walk straight to the car." He grabs hold of my hand.
We walk towards the car and the sound of the paps immediately makes us to walk faster.
The shoving of the mics on our face irritates me.
"How long have you been dating?"
"How did you started dating?"
The mic is then shoved on Kai's face.
"There were rumours that you were dating your Club Owner's daughter, Sophia. In fact you were snapped with her. Were you dating her?"
I try to keep a straight face making sure that I don't frown over that question.
We get in the car and I sigh.
Damn!! That walk from the airport back door to the car felt so long.
"Fuck!" My eyes widen when he curses.
"Are you okay?" I ask with concern.
"I should be the one asking that." His brows furrow.
