I have been walking for hours. I have no idea where I am or where I am going, but I do know that I am far away from Dustin. I just I can't believe he said that. He acts like he knew what happened with mom, but he doesn't. The only thing I should have remembered was to grab my phone. It is still on my bed, where I left it before I went to take a shower.
The sun is starting to set when I found a park. It was mostly deserted. Just a couple families finishing up with their day. I found some rocks away from them and sat on them. It was peaceful as I watched the sun go down. I liked moments like this. I haven't had on in a long time, not since she first got sick.
"CASSIE!" I heard someone call. I closed my eyes.
"Please don't be Dustin. Please don't it be Dustin." I said. I opened my eyes and turned around. "Oh it's leopard boy." I said once I realized who it was. "You're the guy that gave me a ride after sitting at my table."
"I have a name you know." he said as he climbed into the rock next to me.
"Yeah, but I don't remember it." I said.
"It's Kendall." he said.
"Kendall." I repeated. He just nodded. "So why are you here?" I asked.
"Well, Dustin called me. He told me what happened and asked if I'd help look for you." Kendall said.
"And let me guess when you leave here you are going to call him and tell him where I am." I said.
"Well actually.." Kendall said as another car pulled up. Dustin got out and ran to me.
"CASSIE!" Dustin screamed. I rolled my eyes. "Thanks for calling." Dustin said.
"Yeah, thanks a lot Kendall." I said.
"Get in the car Cassie." Dustin said. I just stood there with my arms folded. Dustin sighed and walked towards me. I felt him grab my knees as he lifted me over his shoulder.
"DUSTIN PUT ME DOWN!" I screamed. Dustin didn't. He just carried me to the car. When we got close I heard another door open and then another. I saw Katelyn standing there as Dustin put me into the car. I sat there with my arms crossed as Dustin talked to Katelyn and Kendall. I am really gonna hate it here.
