Chapter 15

I walked onto Koe's bus to see them all sitting around talking and drinking.

"Hey guys. Can I join?" I asked

"Yes ma'am" Dre said patting a spot between him and koe

"Lily is that what I think it is?" Presleigh asked
"Yes ma'am. You know me only the best wine" I replied making everyone laugh

We talked for a few minutes then went to the dressing room backstage where we just sat and chilled and cut up like old times.

I noticed that on the bus Koe really didn't say much. He kind of just watched me and the others. Im not sure what up with him but he needs to cheer up.

Koe said he was running to the bus to get some more Jack. He walked out the door and I followed behind him.

"Koe." I called his name jogging up behind him
"What's up?" He asked
"Nothing I just wanted to come with you" I said
"Oh okay. I'm just going to get more Jack" he said
" I know. Can't I go with you?" I asked
"Sure" he replied
We made it to the bus quietly

"What's going on with you Koe? You seem quiet tonight and this isn't like you. You have a show to play!" I asked

"Its nothing. I just have a lot on my mind and I'm exhausted." He replied as he grabbed the Jack and walked past me.

I sat on the bus for a few minutes leaving Koe to walk back in alone.

KOE's pov
As I walk back to the dressing room without Lily I can't help but think if I sounded rude to her. I wasn't trying to.
I reach the room with only Dre in there.

"Man you need to cheer up. You aren't being yourself tonight" Dre said

"It's just I honestly haven't thought about her in a while and then boom today she comes out of nowhere looking as beautiful as ever and I'm happy to see her don't get me wrong but I used to be really in love with her and I had to hide it and now she's married with a dead husband and I know she won't let me in like we used to...." I told him

"Koe. Everyone around home knew you loved her and she loved you. Just the way you both looked at each other it was plane as day. She's still grieving it hasn't been that long. What a few weeks? Give her time. Be there for her and don't be the asshole you are" he said

"Thank Dre. You always know what to say." I told him

"You're welcome. Now come one let's go your up in 5 minutes"

Lily's POV

Parker is on stage we are all side stage watching and singing along except Koe and Dre. But soon they come walking up.

"Let's dance?" Zach asked as Parker sang pretty eyes
I placed my hand in his that was waiting for me.
He put his hand on my mid back and we slow danced taking in the moment.

"Hey Zach? I started

"Yes Lily?" he said

"I really want to thank you for everything. Since the first night we met you have been there for me. And I want to think you especially for putting up with me and helping me through this time. You have no clue how much it means to have someone like you by my side. I know Cody is looking down on us right now smiling" I told him

"You are very welcome. You know im here when and where ever you need me. I know he is too." Zach said

Koe's POV

Dre and I walked to the side stage where everyone else was already watching Parker

I looked over and say Lily and Zach dancing. I had a weird feeling rush over me when I saw them laughing and holding eachother close.
