Chapter 18

3:45am I woke up to my alarm clock

Uggggh I groaned not wanting to get up.
I got out of bed and put my hair in a ponytail and changed into a hoodie and yoga pants.

I grabbed my toothbrush and hairbrush and pillows and laid them on the chair by the door. I went into the kitchen and made me a cup of coffee and toast before leaving I made sure everything was turned off and all the doors were locked.

4:00am I pulled out of my driveway ready for a long drive ahead.

No one knows that I'm going back to Texas except Zach so I texted him telling him I was headed out so he can keep a check on me and know if I'm making it okay.

After many stops for gas and snacks and coffee and to pee and hour long talks with Zach I finally made it to Texas. Which means only 3 hours until I'm at the wetzels house it is currently 4:30pm

7:38pm
I made it to the wetzel house. I pulled into the drive to see presleighs car and Koe's truck alone with other vehicles. Still no one knows I'm coming.

I got out of my car and stretched my legs and body.
It's feels so good to stretch I thought to myself.

I walked up to the door and took a deep breathe before knocking.

"Coming" I heard Gary's voice on the other side of the door

He opens the door and yells "LILY!!!!" He pulls me into a big hug

"Hey Gary"I said hugging him

"I didn't know you were coming" he said shutting the door behind us

"I know... no one did. And I hope it's okay" I said
"Yes you know it is okay. You are our child too I'm glad you are here. We wouldn't want you alone during the holidays" we walked into the open living room/ kitchen where the others were

"Lily?!?!" Presleigh came running to me hugging me along with Zoie and Julie

Koe just looked up from his phone then back down

I sat on the couch with Koe and Zk and Pres. Zk was between Koe and I. They were watching a football game

After catching up we made small talk here and there between commercials.

"You okay Lily?" Julie asked me
"Yes ma'am why?" I asked
"Just wondering. Your fiddling you your hand" she said pointing to my hands in my lap

After her saying that I noticed I was messing with my rings on my left hand. I missed Cody so much and my father. I just didn't want to cry infront of them and make a scene.

It is currently 9:00pm

"Okay well I'm about to head home" presleigh said to everyone

"Yeah I'm going to head on too. I'm pretty tired" I said

"I bet you are. You drove what 15hours" Julie asked me

"Something like that" I replied hugging her

"Goodnight love y'all" Gary said

Presleigh left and I followed her to her house.
After arrive at her house she helped me get y thing out of my car.

"You will be staying in the last room on the right" she said

"Oh wow presleigh! Look at you go sis! This place is beautiful" I said looking around when we walked into the house

It's a 4 bed 3 bath house a big kitchen and big living room. I followed her down the hall to the last door on the right.
