Nolan POV

Today has been a day I have not been looking forward to, the day on which travelling starts. As we have our next to games on the road, but we get to come home after the first one for two days, then we will be back on the road.

Skylar has been understanding as she knows it's my job, but I am being a baby. the last day or so, I have been clinging to her. which she never fails to mention, but know she secretly loves this. when we play Carolina next month, I have been trying to talk her into coming. So she can see her family and show me around a bit.

"babe your phone is ringing" Skylar snapped me out of my thought. 

"you can answer it" I called out, I was still trying to get the last of my things together.

she was in the kitchen making us some food before I have to go.

"I know he's so sappy" Skylar came into my room with a smile as she was talking into my phone.

"oh that actually sounds nice, ya noon works perfectly for me," she says and I raised my eyebrow.

"alright here's your son"  She passed me the phone and I figured it was my mom.

"hi ma" I spoke.

"I just wanted to call you before you get on your flight. I have my meeting tonight so I didn't have any other time," she explained.

"no worries Mom, make sure you tell Mrs. Sully high for me," I tell her.

"of course, I love you and have a safe flight. text me later okay" She always worries if I don't text her after I land.

"I will I love you too" I was about to hang up but she stopped me.

"FYI tomorrow I am spending the day with your girlfriend" she rushes out then hangs up before I even have the chance to respond.

"you're spending the day with my mom tomorrow?" I mean I was glad they got along but this is kinda much.

"yes we are going to go to a sap, then she wanted me to help her pick out a dress. she said something about some type of convention diner?" she admits

"oh ya, it's a yearly thing" I was not sure what they do I never go or ever ask about it. they just say it's fun.

"you know I am going to miss you" She walked over to me and wrapped her arms around my neck with a slight frown on her lips.

"I will only be gone for about two days, then I am home for two and back on the road" I was not helping by saying this but it's the truth.

"then you play at home" She knows this cause she will be taking the field again.

"do you get to room alone when you travel? it would suck having to share" She wrinkled her nose at the thought.

"I get to room by myself" I was glad it would very much suck having to share.

"you will call me then once you are settled in your hotel?" she almost looked nervous.

"of course, I will, and I will text you when I land. I am going to miss you so much" I groaned and moved my head to lay on her neck.

Skylar POV

"I can't believe you're going shopping with Nolan's mom" Camry states as she was watching me finish my makeup.

"why? She's actually such a nice person." I was honest.

"ya, I guess what did Nolan have to say" Camry couldn't help the laugh that leaves her.

"Well, he thought it was sweet, but weird also," I confessed.

"I mean how did she handle living with six boys" Camry looked shocked.
