Nolan POV

"I missed you so much" Skylar kissed me in between each word and I was grinning.

I got off my plane and visited her apartment for a surprise visit. I wanted to see her right away.

"me too baby" I kissed her.

"how was your flight?" she asked, dragging me to her room.

"Long" I sighed and we both moved to lay on her bed. which was so small compared to my big bed.

"you could have gone home and rested first," she says but I could see in her eyes she was glad I came here first.

"I could have but I missed you too much" I mumbled as my head was laying on her. She moved her hand to rub my head.

"aww, you too sweet" she giggled.

"ya and your evil," I tell her.

"how much did she pester you" she was laughing.

"so much and she told the rest of my family, so my brothers and dad have been giving me jokes too" I groaned.

"I am sorry what was I supposed to do lie" she claimed.

"yes," I frowned.

she just laughed at my response.  "I am sorry"

"sure you are" I just shook my head.

"your falling asleep?" she asked.

"no" but we both know it was a lie.

"he looks like a giant baby" I could hear Camrys voice, and it took me a moment to realize where I was.

"he can hear you" I groaned moving my arms to wrap around Sky tighter.

"well you have been sleeping for the last hour, so I came in here to keep her company" Camry claimed and I had not realized I had slept that long.

"Well, he was tired" Skylar defend me.

"Well, now that he's awake I will leave you guys to it" I could feel her smirk without actually looking at her.

"you feel better now?" she asked.

"ya" I did not even really mean to fall asleep, but with her soothing back rubs and being laid up on her. Sleep just took over me and I couldn't help it.

"Good, you hungry?" she questioned.

"I could eat" I very rarely say no to food.

so we both got up and made our way to the kitchen. "I was going to make mac and cheese before you came," she tells me.

"like Kraft Diner?" I mean I love that stuff.

"no from scratch, I had my noodles boiled already," she says.

"well dang, I won't say no" I loved mac and cheese.

"you can grate the cheese" she smirked.

"Sure give me the hardest job" I felt like I was cooking with my mother all over again.

"Thanks" she gave me a quick kiss as she passed me three different kinds of cheese.

"I have to grate all of this" I looked at her with wide eyes.

"half of each" she declared.

now I see why she handed it off to me, I would want to hand it off to someone else too.

"I saw that hit you took, how are you after that?" she asked after a few moments of silence.

"Okay I am a bit stiff, but I have a massage appointment soon. so I will be fine, it does not hurt as much as you think" I admit.

"ya because your use to it" and she was probably right.

"so how was shopping with my mom? since you too like to be jokester" she was brief on the phone.

"it was nice, I think she liked being able to just have girl talk" I could see that.

"well then the others better hurry up, or you will be stuck with her by yourself" I teased.

"she's counting on it, but you have set the stander pretty high," she claimed with a grin, and she was not wrong there.

"so what I am hearing is that you're going to marry me?" I loved getting on her skin.

"if you play your cards right, then we will see" was her sassy response.

"do you ever think about your future?" I randomly asked.

"all the time, do you?" she asked.

"in five years I will be twenty-nine, I hope to have one maybe two super bowls under my belt. Married and either has a kid or one on the way. I always told myself if I did not have kids before I was thirty then it was a no-go." I tell her.

"well in five years I will be twenty-eight, I hope to be a cowboy for as long as I can. I like to think I would be married. kids if it happens it happens. but I am not having any more after thirty-two. maybe a dog, I always wanted a dog growing up. but my dad had an allergy, so we never could have one." she specified her plan to me.

"After having so many siblings it makes me love the idea of a big family, but at the same time makes me know how crazy it is. but I always said at least two minimum." I tell her.

"I know how much it sucks being an only child, but I could not imagine myself with more than two kids." I really can't.

"so you're saying my dream of having my football team is over?" I faked a gasp.

"I am sure you will find plenty of girls who are willing to give you that." she patted my arm.

"and you are not?" I pushed her buttons.

"hell no," she looked horrified.

this caused me to laugh, I mean she makes it so easy.

"just grate the cheese" she turned away from me, which caused me to laugh.

being here with her like this, it's why it is so hard to be away from her when I have to travel.
