"you did what now?" Brody asked as we were at his house having a beer.
"I asked her to be my girl officially and she said yes" I was grinning at the thought.
"good for you man, I am glad you are happy" he was smiling.
"Thanks, man" I knew he would be happy for me.
"you know this is going to be hard to keep from the public" he spoke the truth.
"I know but we are going to try our best, it's something we both agreed upon. we both like our privacy," I tell him.
"well either way you know my lips are sealed" he made a zipping motion over his lips. which caused me to laugh at him.
"Thanks, man" I was grateful.
I did not end up staying at Brody's place long, he had plans with his family. They were all going out for dinner. so I started my way back to my place. But as I was opening my door, my phone rang it was Sky.
"hi, you" I picked up.
"hi," she says.
"what can I do for you my beautiful amazing girlfriend" I knew I was laying it on thick but I did not care.
"wow you sure know how to make a girl feel special, but I was seeing what you are up to?" she claimed.
"Nothing much really," I tell her.
" how do you feel about getting some food with me?" she questioned.
"Sure I can pick you up in ten?" I was jumping at the chance to see her.
"sounds good" she claimed. we said our goodbyes then hung up.
I grabbed my keys and made my way to my truck. it was a ten-minute drive to her place, I parked and then made my way inside so I could knock on her door. my mom would kill me if she found out I texted and did not go to her door. so I knocked and then a few moments later she opened the door. looking cute as ever, in jean shorts and an orange tank top paired off with a white pair of shoes.

"Hello," she grinned.
"Hello" I smiled then leaned down so I could kiss her.
woah baby" I heard Grace's voice behind me.
Sky giggled as we pulled away.
"hi, Grace" I shook my head.
"why hello Nolan" she had a weird tone in her voice.
"bye guys" Skylar called out and grabbed my hand.
"Don't do anything I wouldn't do" Grace yells before the door closes.
"Is she always there" I looked at Skylar.
"pretty much" she nods.
"so what are you feeling like?" I asked once we were in my truck.
"I don't know, you take me to your favourite spot," she says.
"you like barbeque?" I asked.
"I am from North Carolina is that even a question" she looked at me like I had two heads for even asking.
"Okay okay just checking." I put my hands up in defence.
"your lucky your cute" she grinned.
"did you just call me cute?" I mean seriously.
"yes I really did" she was smiling.
I just shook my head and started to drive. I knew the perfect spot, it was not too far from her place either. about fifteen minutes or so and we were pulling into the parking lot.
" oh it smells good" she grinned as we started our way inside hand in hand. you could smell the smoke from the pit in the back.
"I know it's the barbecue around." I grinned.
"I will be the judge of that" she sassed.
"table for two?" the host asked once we walked in.
I nod so she grabbed two menus and started to lead us to a table.
"Okay, I will give this to you. it was pretty good" she grinned as we just finished eating.
we got a platter and shared it was filled with chicken, ribs, and pulled pork burnt ends. and a bunch of different sides, the perfect amount of food to share.
"see I told you. why would I lead you astray" I gave her a serious look, or well I tried to anyways.
"I never said you would" she sasses back.
"so what are you doing for the rest of the day?" I asked her.
"well Cam is going to be busy, her aunt is down for the week. so she will be with them the rest of the night, and Grace is off to some family thing. so it's just me myself and i" she informed me.
"well then come back to my place with me we can relax, watch a movie or something" I suggest.
"sure beats being alone" she agrees.
so that's what we do, we drive back to my place.
"you want a drink or something?" I called out as I was getting myself a glass of water.
"no I am good thanks though," she replied.
after my glass of water, I walk over to my couch and find her spread out looking comfortable. which makes me happy to see, that she is comfortable enough around me to be like this.
"make room for me" I grin as I slowly move so I am laying on top of her before she can make room for me.
she shakes her head but does not complain. Instead, she moves her hands to softly rub my back, which feels really nice.
"your very comfortable" I mumble.
she giggles and it's like music to my ears. "well that's good to know"
" so now that we are dating, does that mean you will sleep over?" I was wanting her to say yes.
"I mean not all the time, but ya I wouldn't mind some nights" she admits.
"good." I grinned and moved my body so I was caging her in, then leaned down so I could kiss her.
she wrapped her arms around my neck and pulled me closer to her. which makes me groan, I could kiss this girl all day if she would let me.
