minho heard a small 'ding' when jisung opened the door to the small cafe, the brunette held the door open for him and minho smiled at him. they went near the back of the cafe and sat at a table.the cafe was cute, the back wall was a huge bookshelf and there were vines hanging from the ceiling, paired with fairy lights and plants on the shelves.
it was dimly lit as the fairy lights were the only lights in the cafe, luckily the place was small so it wasn't too dark.
"this is cute" minho said, scanning his eyes over the cafe.
jisung nodded as he took his jacket off, "it's my favourite place..i found it in my first year of uni"
minho looked down at the menu and decided on getting an iced americano, "tell me your order.."
"oh um..i'll have an iced americano and a sandwich please" he told minho, who nodded and got up to head over to the front of the cafe.
he returned with a receipt just a few minutes later, "so..why did you agree to getting food with me?"
jisung tapped his fingers on the table, "i really wanted to come here..i've been thinking about it for the past few days but just never had time.."
minho nodded, "i bet teaching while studying as well is very time consuming.."
"it's hell..but it gives me a bit more money" jisung explained that the pay was actually quite good.
minho noticed that the brunette was very easily distracted by little things, especially the little lights hung above their table. he smiled at the boy as he looked up at the lights, his eyes sparkling from the reflection of them.
he jumped when he heard the waitress place a plate on the table, "oh i didn't mean to scare you"
she apologised for making minho jump.
"no no it's okay..thank you so much" he bowed his head as she placed the rest of their food on the table.
"finally..i'm so hungry" jisung said as he picked up his drink, taking a sip from it and smiling instantly, "oh it's so good"
minho smiled again.

"thank you for the food minho" jisung thanked him once again as they made their way back to campus.
"we should go out together again" the older boy said, shoving his hands into his pockets.
"mhm maybe..i'll think about it" jisung didn't immediately say no which shocked minho, does this mean he'd already made progress?
they stayed silent for a while, but it wasn't awkward, it was a comfortable silence.
surprisingly, jisung was the one who broke the silence.
"so um..earlier you said you didn't quite understand some stuff from the lecture today.." he looked down at the his shoes, "i could uh explain it to you if you'd like..i'm free after five today.."
minho smiled to himself, "that would be helpful.." he replied, "should i meet you at the studio again?"
jisung looked up and nodded, "5:30?"
"sounds perfect.."

"channie!" minho ran over to his friend, a huge smile painted over his face, "today has been so good.."
"i know exactly what that smile means.." he said as soon as he noticed the boys smile, "no minho, that's so wrong"
"what! we only got some lunch together..it's not like i slept with him or anything" he protested.
chan shook his head, "i want no part of this"
"no but channie, he offered to help me" minho kicked his legs, "he offered to help me!"
"min that's literally his job.." the boy blankly replied. "that's what he gets paid for"
"oh be quiet, don't ruin my happiness" minho rested his head on chans shoulder, "how's your day been hm?"
"it was better when you weren't obsessing over your teacher" chan said, laughing while minho hit his arm and sat up properly. "seriously min, this cannot go further than friendship"
"i'll be surprised if it even goes to friendship at this point.." he joked.
