“I AM really sorry, Jiro.”

Sanya have been telling me that ever since we both woke up. Nasa kusina kami at hinihintay ang sinaing. I sighed, “I should be the one saying sorry, I didn’t sto—”

“I am sorry,” she said quietly.

Mas lalo akong napabuntong-hininga at lumapit sa kaniya. I hold her waist and put my chin on her shoulder, “I did love it. I love it, okay? No need to say sorry.”

“I'm just… so sorry.”

I pursed my lips and stood up straight. She didn't even looked at me. I looked at her back as if finding an answer.

'How could I find an answer if she won't even build a sentence except I'm sorry?'

Pumunta ako sa harap niya. I am not used in this kind of Sanya. I held her cheeks but she won't look at me in the eyes. "I suppose that's my line, I take you before your 18th—"

She gasps softly and looked at me. I stopped for a moment when I saw her eyes watered. She opened her mouth but she won't say me a thing. I sighed softly. I gave her a peck on her lips and caress her cheeks with my thumb.

I… don’t get her anymore. I just let her say sorry as we wait for the food. We ate quietly after that and didn’t get the chance talking. I respect her space and privacy that I didn’t asked what's bothering her. I don’t know if I will regret not asking her.

"I'll just update them, then let's date?" she smiled.

Looking at her eyes, I doubt she will ask them peacefully. I nodded lightly and hold her hands that's on my cheek and caress it.

She bid her goodbye and I was left alone. I sighed. I stood up and started to clean the living room, waiting for Sanya.

My hands stilled midway while watering the plants when I remembered her expressions. I puffed my cheeks not wanting to take it negatively. I continue to water the plants, erasing negative thoughts.

'There's no way she would leave me again, isn't there?'

I LOOKED at the clock then to the door. It takes less than 10 minutes coming back here from Sanya's hotel, so why is she still not here?

It is already 20 minutes.

Maybe she's having a hard time talking to her parents?

Maybe she's still getting ready?

Wait... what if she's having a hard time walking because... because of what happened...?

Ugh! Jiro, stop overthinking!

But still! Minutes after minutes, no one still have knock on the door nor called for my name. It is getting me sick.

Time is killing me. I am no God to predict what will happen for the next minutes, hours, or days.

I inhaled a large amount when the doorbell rang. I stood up and walked rapidly to open the door. To my relief, there's no longer have heaviness in my heart. Nagmamadali akong pumunta sa pinto. With an anticipation, I opened the door forcefully.

"Jiro!" nanlalaking matang saad ni Sanya. I snickered and hugged her. I had a negative thought it wouldn't be Sanya but she's the one waiting for me to open the door. "What? Miss me agad?" I can't help but to hug her tightly. She just chuckled and hugged me back.

"Let's start our date?"

We were at a restaurant. We're in the second floor's veranda, both in the railings, watching the waves of Cherry Bloosoms around us.

I looked at Sanya who looks in deeper thoughts, staring at the blank sky.

"Are you happy, love?"

Sanya looked at me like I was beheaded. "Love?"

I smiled cheekily, "yes, love?" An endearment seems to make her face lively, hmm?

Her shock face formed into a happy looking child, "stop it, Jiro." Her face was bleaming.

"What? What's the problem calling you love?" I pouted.

She chuckled, "aww, come here, kiddo."

Agad akong sumimangot. Sinamaan ko siya ng tingin. "Kiddo? Have you forgotten that this man makes you a woma—ouch!"

Napahawak ako sa braso ko pagtapos niyang hampasin. She glared at me. "Isa pa, Jiro, malilintikan ka sa 'kin."

I grimace while her face still had that annoyed expression. We stared at each other for a moment. Then a chuckle occupy us, while still chuckling, I looked at Sanya's elated face, until the peacefulness of our surroundings invade us.

I walked towards her behind. Sinundan niya pa ako ng tingin pero niyakap ko na agad siya. I want her to feel how much my heart beat for her, that's why from that day onwards, I want to backhug her.

"I love you."

She holds my arms that's embracing her waist. "I love you."

After a short period of time we ate some desserts, in the veranda where we're next to each other, I found myself staring at her face. She seems drowned on her own thoughts that she didn't notice my stares.

Closely, I've saw her eyes glinting different emotions. She's been saying and I also feel that she's happy. What's the sadness I can see through her eyes, then?

I inhaled quite large softly—agad akong napaubo. Agad namang lumingon sa akin si Sanya. I bit my lips out of embarrassment.

"Oh?" she innocently looked at me then her face filled with worry, "you okay?"

Agad akong nag-iwas ng tingin pero agad na bumalik sa kaniya nang tawagin niya ang pangalan ko. At that very moment, the wind seems to be on her side as it made a wave on her hair.

Her eyes glow as she smiled softly. Inabot niya ang pisngi ko at marahan niya 'yong hinaplos.

"Always remember I love you, okay?"
