8.00 pm

Knock knock knock

"Who's at the door?" Barry asked as he opened the door

"Good evening Barry..." said Lea, at the door with a small suitcase

"Welcome Lea .." Barry said, making her enter

"Nora..."

"She's upstairs, there's a lot of things we should talk about... but I think you should know from her..."

"Thank you for letting me stay here..."

"Lea, I've known you for almost a year... I know how much you care about my daughter! You two have been together for years, when you told me about her you had the same look that Caitlin and I have"

"Anyway thanks... not many people would allow that... Nora is 17..."

"I hope it's clear that if you want to sleep in the same bed you won't have to do anything!" Barry said, making Lea burst out laughing

"I honestly thought you were going to relegate me to the guest room"

"That was the idea initially, but Caitlin convinced me to let you stay with Nora...after all, you need to spend some time with someone she really trusts"

"She trusts you!"

"Yes, but right now she needs you, and please unless she asks you, don't tell her that it was you who told us so much about her and Bart"

"Barry, I don't think she would get mad..."

"After you know the story you will change your mind..."

"Barry, you're a good person, and if it weren't for what happened between you and Iris you would have been the perfect father to Nora! I know it! That's why I told you so much about Nora's life..."

"I haven't been a real father to her... no matter how many times you say it..."

"Barry, my father was terrible because he was never there and never tried to be... You instead did everything to be able to stay close to her... at the end, you failed, but you never stopped to attempt!"

"Let's not think about me now... Go upstairs, Nora's room is the second door on the right, next door is the twin room, while the one opposite is the bathroom...

Cait and I's room is down the hall...

Don't do..."

"It would be too embarrassing..." Lea said blushing "I'm going upstairs..."

............

Nora's bedroom

"OMG! Wow, you told me your family history was complicated but I didn't expect so much!"

"You haven't heard the best part yet! Iris hasn't returned any calls, she knows about Bart but she hasn't even asked me how I was..."

"Nora, don't get upset..." Lea said approaching her girlfriend "Nothing all of this is your fault! You were just a child, a child who was manipulated exclamation point your father doesn't blame you, no one blames you! What happened to Bart wasn't your fault!
You need to stop putting blame that isn't yours!"

"It's easy for you to talk! I spent my whole life hating my father out of guilt for destroying my family..."

"Nora, as far as I can understand you want to insult her for remembering that there are children in the next room!"

"What do you want them to hear!"

"Your father literally made me promise not to do anything with you because the walls are thin!"

"What is that you can't do? A sleepover?" Don and Dawn asked, emerging from behind the ajar door

"What did I tell you?" Lea said laughing at Nora's embarrassed face

"You are Lea, aren't you?" Dawn asked, stepping forward

"Yes it's me, nice to meet you, Dawn"

"How do you know me? Has Nora told you about me?"

"It wasn't Nora, but your father! He has your pictures on his desk and he almost always talks about you two!"

"Wow!"

"How do you know he has our pictures on his desk?" asked Don "He always says that his office is not allowed to enter visitors"

"It can be said that I work with your father..."

"How much do you get paid then?"

"I don't get paid, I get college credit"

"What does it mean? That you work for free?"

"More or less..."

"That doesn't sound like a good thing!" Dawn said

"No, you see..."

"Lea, stop it, you'll never be able to convince her that it's a good thing!" Nora said, laughing

"Big sis..." Dawn said, surprising Nora with the choice of that word, "Would you and Lea want to play with us?"

"Of course!" Lea said, trying to compensate for Nora's hesitation
