"What was that?" Patty asked scared

"I'm not sure... it was too fast for even me to realize..."

"How can something happen so quickly!?"

"The only thing I know is that it's about our mystery speedster... one I haven't met yet... and I'm afraid I know what she's done"

"NO!" Patty yelled, running upstairs, followed by Barry

"They're gone..." she said, seeing the destroyed bedroom "Why didn't you do anything to save them!?"

"Patty, I was taken aback, I didn't realize anything until it was too late..."

"What am I supposed to tell everyone!? My mother will be back shortly and..."

"Tell her to get as far away as possible... I know Lea's father will be here... get as far away from here as possible"

"Ok, I'll write to him... now where do we go?"

"What you mean?"

"My daughters are missing..."

"I promise I'll find them"

"The two of them are all I have... my mother is elderly, she won't be around much longer and I have a failed marriage behind me..."

"Patty, I promise I will save your daughters"

Before he could say anything else, Patty stepped forward and planted a kiss directly on his lips. It was a long, passionate kiss filled with all of the love and longing that Patty had been holding onto for years.

Breaking the kiss, Patty looked into Barry's eyes and whispered, "I never stopped loving you, Barry. Even though we were apart for so long, you were always on my mind. I hope that someday we can make things right between us."

"Why?" Barry asked, seconds after they'd separated

"I've never stopped loving you... never in 23 years... it's only ever been you... I know it's not the right time to..."

"I'm married, Patty..."

"You and Iris haven't been together for a long time now..." Patty said, hoping he was referring to her.

"I got married a second time 5 years ago... and I have two children, twins... a boy and a girl...
They are my whole world..."

Patty's heart skipped a beat at those statements...

"Were they yours?" Patty asked hesitantly, not thinking she had understood correctly "I thought they were from Iris... Lea said that Nora hadn't lived with you after the divorce"

"She only met them a few days ago, but they get along very well..."

"Oh...I'm sorry...If I had known that...I'm sorry"

"Anyway, I'm going with you... but what are you going to tell your wife?"

"Cait knows you, and she's not the jealous type..."

"Caitlin... as in CAITLIN SNOW!?"

"Yes"

"You love her?"
"More Than Anything in the World"
"How..."

"We got closer after Frost's death..."

"I can't believe it... I'm so sorry... My marriage ended because of my husband's cheating... I can't believe it... I've become like that bitch who destroyed my marriage... I'm so sorry..."

"Patty, you didn't know that... and you're not the least bit like her...
Patty, my marriage also ended because of Iris's cheating
You didn't know I was married..."

"It doesn't change the fact that..."

"Patty, you're not like her" he said, pulling her in a hug "You didn't do anything wrong"

"Why are you like this?"

"Like how?"

"The perfect person... I love you Barry... I should never have left... if I had stayed maybe it wouldn't have happened..."

"None of this is your fault Patty"

"Let's go... and can we not tell your wife?"

"Patty, don't worry about this now...come on," Barry said, picking her up and speeding away

Allen house

When Barry and Nora had gone out to talk to Lea's mother she had expected to see them return in less than stellar mood, but she certainly never expected to see Barry speeding into the living room with Patty Spivot in his arms

"Patty..."

"Hi Caitlin... I..."

"She's Lea's mother," Barry said, setting Patty down

"Oh... what a coincidence?" Caitlin said, trying to figure out the possibilities that something like this could happen

"Excuse me?" said Allegra "What exactly is going on?" she asked, confused by the tension she felt in the room

"Barry and I were in a relationship... years ago... before I left Central City to become CSI..."

"Why did you leave?"

"He didn't want to tell me he was the Flash," Patty said bluntly

"Believe it or not Patty, Barry wanted to tell you the very day you told him you were leaving Central City," Caitlin said, ignoring what had happened between them just before.

"Where's the bathroom..." Patty asked, trying to hold back the tears

"Upstairs... the door is open you can't go wrong" said Allegra, "And be careful not to wake up the twins"

"What happen?" Caitlin asked as Patty went upstairs

"That Speedster...she kidnapped Nora and Patty's other daughter, Alex"
