Slowly Nora's eyes closed, setting panic in everyone's hearts
"She's just sleeping..." Caitlin said after checking her "Barry, put her to bed and take her temperature, if it exceeds 102.2° let me know..."
"If it's at 102.2°?"
"It sure is...let her sleep for a while, monitor her at regular intervals...
If the fever goes over 104° then we'll need to get her temperature down... let's just hope we don't need to do that," Caitlin said as Barry carried Nora upstairs.
"Shouldn't we already be trying to get it down?" Joe asked, worried
"102 is at the doctor's discretion... I don't think it's necessary yet... not for Nora at least"
"But"
"Joe, do you really think I would endanger Nora?"
"But she was delirious"
"I hadn't noticed... she's always called me mom!" Caitlin said, trying to ease the tension "When she got here she was shivering, but she didn't say anything to anyone... I think it was because she was already in hypothermia... she took a shower just now, probably the heat dilated her blood vessels causing confusion..."
"Don't you think that's exaggerated?"
"In healthy people of comparable age and build to Nora it could lead to fainting, but remember that Nora as a speedster does not get sick and is immune to drugs and cold to a certain level...
The best thing at this point is to keep it warm and wait, if it rises again I'll intervene"
"How? With an ice bath?"

"Sorry Caitlin just..."
"Only you still see me as the woman who destroyed your daughter's family! Joe I've been hearing this for 12 years, I know exactly what you think of me! Iris managed to convince everyone that Barry and I were in a relationship! Even Cisco believed it initially!"
"That wasn't what I meant"
"So what? I am a doctor! I know what I'm doing! I'm not a fool! Not only am I a capable doctor but I am the only doctor who can treat a speedster! Now I have to prepare hot chocolate for Nora, if you want something you can do it!" Caitlin said, walking into the kitchen.
"You really pissed off my wife..." Barry said walking down the stairs, alarmed by Caitlin's screams
"I can't help it, I'm worried about Nora"
"Caitlin gave birth to Nora... and Jenna did too... She knows what she's doing"
"She's my granddaughter"
"She's also my daughter... I've trusted Caitlin as a doctor and friend for years... since before we were in a relationship... she's the foremost expert in metahuman medicine and most importantly the most knowledgeable when it comes to speedsters!
Joe, you really don't have a clue how much Caitlin cares about Nora!"
"I know how much he cares about Nora, I saw him just now! There are equally specialized doctors, such as Dr. Hansen"
"Annika...I know who she is...worked with Caitlin last year on some research..."
"We could call her and ask for a consultation"
"Annika consults Cait when it comes to speedsters... she is an expert but Caitlin is on a completely different level"
"Yes, but..."
"Joe, Caitlin is the doctor that every other doctor refers to when it comes to meta-human physiology... If she believes that Nora is not in danger, then she is not in danger!"
Nora's bedroom
Nora moved quickly, she felt blocked as if by something that completely enveloped her...
It took her a few seconds to realize that the thing was a blanket and was now in her bed at her father's house.
As she tried to stand up, battling headaches and dizziness, she tried to remember how she got from the sofa to the bed.
It took her a while to put the pieces back together, but eventually she remembered everything from walking down the stairs wrapped in a blanket to asking Caitlin for hot cocoa and calling her mom...
"What's happening to me... am I going crazy? I can't call her mom! I have had no relationship with her all my life!"
"You're not freaking big sis," said a voice Nora thought she'd never hear again
"Bart?! Is it really you?"
