Newtmas Oneshots ^~^

Puppy

"Newt! I have news!" Thomas shouted, closing the front door. 

Newt appeared at the bottom of the stairs and hugged the brunette. "What, you're pregnant too?" he laughed. 

Thomas rolled his eyes. "no dimwit. I got a dog."

Newt smiled. "That's funny. I don't get it." 

"No, I mean I acctually got a dog." 

Netw's eyes widened. "You're kidding."

"nope."

Newt walked backwards and sat heavily on the stairs, rubbing his face. "tommy...I love you but I'm about to kick you in the crotch."

Thomas crouched in front of Newt and took his hands. "here me out. You see this house? It wasn't meant for two people. It was meant for four people and two dogs. It's a big ass house." 

Newt groaned. "I have no experiance with dogs Tommy. We need a bad and food and it needs to be trained. I can barely get out of bed in the morning."

"Oh hush, you're not that big yet." 

"But I will be!"

"newtie, I'll take care of the dog. All you have to do is love it. I'll do the training and feeding and walking. I haven't had a dog in so long, I grew up with three so I know what I'm doing."

Newt ran a hand through his hair and suddenly looked so tired. "Where is it?" 

"In my car. I got the bed and food. And I scheduled her worming tomorrow." 

"She's in your car?" 

"Yes?"

Newt stood up and grabbed Thomas's hand, then went outside to the blue jeep. He opened the door of thepassanger seat and in a cardboard box nestled in blankets was an apricot puppy. 

Who was shaking.

Newt gasped. "go heat the water, poor thing's shaking like a leaf." 

Thomas nodded, releived newt didn't kick him in the crotch, and went back inside. 

Newt reached into the car and scooped the puppy into his arms. 

"You're alright love," he murmered, brining the puppy into the house. 

After she was washed and dried, thomas brought the kibble and bed into the kitchen. His heart melted when he saw Newt sitting on the couch with the puppy slepping on his lap. 

"Can we keep her?" he asked. 

Newt looked up. "Yeah. But you're doing all the hard stuff for the time being." 

"Absolutely." Thomas sat down next to him.

"What about the baby?" Newt asked quietly.

"We'll teach her not to eat babies, then we'll bring ours home." 

Time Skip

Mika had really good hearing. 

She could recognise her dads' footsteps from a mile away. 

She lifted her head when the door handle moved and was at the door in a second, tail wagging. 

Thomas came in, crouched next to her. "Hey pup, guess who's home."

Then Newt walked in holding something big by a handle. 

"mika," he said softly, "this is your baby brother Sam."

Mika sniffed the large thing with interest and when Newt placed it o the ground, it smelled even weirder. She stuck her head in the bundle of blankets and came to a conclusion. There was a tiny human in the blankets. Then it made a noise and she jumped back. Thomas laughed as Newt lifted the tiny human and let her sniff it. 

The tiny human waved a chubby had and she licked it. 

"Good girl," Newt praised. He looked at thomas. 

"I'm so glad we kept her."
