Luca
I go into Aubrei's room and wake her up. "What's goin on?" She asks getting up from her bed.
"I tell you in the truck. Come on you have to go." I rush trying to pull her out of bed.
"Wait, Luca." I quickly let go, seeing her hand against her belly. "I don't have on any clothes."
"Sire!" Her room door burst open. I shield Aubrei's naked body with mine. "Oh shit, sorry." He turns his back to us.
"What is it?"
"Your cousin is here." He says.
"Fuck!" I shout and turn back to Aubrei who is now getting dressed. "Change of plans. I need you to stay in here until he leaves." I regret getting the lock removed from her door.
"Why? He's just your cousin."
"Yeah, that was sent here to kill you!" I yell.
"Oh." She says quietly.
"Fuck. I didn't mean to yell." I struggle to get out.
She clears her throat. "It's fine."
Why is everything so weird? "Stay here, Aubrei." She nods and I leave out her bedroom. "Make sure no one comes through this hallway." I tell the guard and he nods.
"....this woman?" I hear stepping into living area. Adam is there showing a picture to Johnathan one of Aubrei's guard, he pays him no mind.
"Damn, i'm impressed. You've got your clientele in order." He says laughing. "But unfortunately, I feel disrespected, so he has to go." He quickly pulls out his pistol and points it to Johnathan, who only smirks.
"You willing to die before you complete your pursuit?" I shake my head. I should've known better. "But if we're being honest it would never happened anyway." She steps from behind me and into the living room. "Hello, my name is Reign. But I go by many names." She turns to me. "Like, Aubrei." She looks at Michael. "Lunatic." Then Owen. "Slut." Then Preston. "Whore." She laughs. "And your grandfather's favorite, Luca's personal whore." She stands directly in front of Adam. Whose throat bobs at the sight of her. By now everyone is in the living watching. "But i'm sure those aren't the ones you want to hear." She says very sultry. "No, you want to hear the other names. Riley, The Last Member of OASIS. The Devil's Peacemaker. Lilith's Savage Daughter. A Devious Siren." She circles around him. "Luca came up with that last one and to be honest, I like it. I might even start going by that." He looks confused. "Don't look at me like that, Adam." She stands on the tip of her toes and whispers something in his ear, making him stumble back.
"You're crazy." He speaks not taking his eyes off her.
"No, you're crazy for pointing that pistol at him." She snaps. "Apologize."
"Your out of your mind." In a clever move, Johnathan passes his pistol to Aubrei and she positions it under Adam's chin. All while emptying the clip from Adam's pistol. How she got it? I do not know.
She laughs. "Luca, are you sure he came to kill me? Cause i'm feeling disrespected." She asks me.
"I'm just confused as you are." I say.
Adam is a well known killer in Sicily. A feared one at that. But this, this is embarrassing.
Maybe it's because of her. Riley is a world wide threat. And to be faced with her could make a man shit his pants.
She scoffs and steps back. "How dare your grandfather send someone so weak? To try and kill me of all people." She turns around and walks my way.
"It's not that i'm weak. I just know when i've lost. Plus, i'm outnumbered here." Adam says.
