Reign
The first person I see is Luca. In an instant he's at my side.
"Hey, you're okay?" I nod and see Ma'Kai holding Lorenzo on the other side of the bed.
"Where's Ryan and Logan?" I ask Luca and he swallows.
"You don't remember?" I shake my head. "Ryan passed. We had her funeral a few months ago." His thumb swipes over my cheek. "Logan is getting a few tests done, she'll be back soon."
That's wrong. She didn't just pass away. She was killed.
"Oh, yeah. It slipped my mind." I blink the other tears away. A hand is placed on mine and it's Kai.
"Don't worry, Madre will take care of Ryan." He says with a smile.
I smile too. "I know she will. She took care of you and you're the sweetest person ever." I kiss both his and Lorenzo's forehead.
I reach my hand for Luca and he grabs it. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine baby, I just want you to be okay." He kisses my knuckles.
"I'm sorry I lost—"
"No, I won't let you slip back. We have Logan, we have our boys. Ryan will always be with us. You understand me?" I nod leaning my head back trying to contain my tears. Luca grabs my face and wipes them away with his thumbs. "Please don't slip back. We need you."
"I won't." He nods and kisses my forehead.

Two weeks have passed by since we've left the hospital.
My baby girl was born 6 pounds and 4 ounces.
Logan Renee Mancini.
"No, you can't have that, it's mine." Ma'Kai says loudly. Lorenzo throws a fit and almost knocks over a vase but I catch it, with Logan in my other arm.
I still got it.
"Shhh, you two are gonna wake Luca." I whisper, trying to quiet the boys down. Luca has been such an amazing father to the kids. I don't know if I could've done this without him. It's cliche to say but it's true.
I lay Logan in her bassinet and start on breakfast. Once i'm finished I fix everyone's plate.
"Renzo, where's daddy?" He looks around before pointing to our bedroom door. "Go wake, daddy." He laughs before running to our bedroom.
He's such a happy kid.
I hear a loud 'ow' followed by a curse. Of course Lorenzo has done something, he runs out the room and hides behind my legs.
About 5 minutes later, Luca comes out the bedroom and his nose is red. I take a closer look and see fingernail imprints on his nose, I look away trying not to laugh.
"That's funny, babe?" He pokes my side. "That shit hurt, where is he?" He looks around and still misses him hiding beside me. Jeez, he really is hard at seeing.
"Where are your glasses?" I laugh.
"You're hilarious.". He states in a dry tone. I step out the way and reveal Lorenzo, who flops to the floor when he sees his father.
Luca starts tickling the toddler throwing him into a fit of laughter. Kai watches them and a sad smile appears on his face. He looks away when he catches me staring at him.
"Kai?" He barely acknowledges me. "Everything okay?" He nods.
Luca looks at him then me. "After breakfast we'll have a talk with him." He says low enough for me to hear.
